COMPLEXITY MADE SIMPLE WITH THE H. MOSER & CIE. ENDEAVOUR PERPETUAL CALENDAR CONCEPT
Ten years ago, when H. Moser & Cie. launched its Endeavour Perpetual Calendar it took everyone by surprise with the purest, most ingenious and most practical perpetual calendar on the market.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this iconic model, the Schaffhausen-based manufacture is pushing the boundaries of creativity further and countering trends.
In a market saturated with oversized watches and logos emblazoned everywhere, H. Moser & Cie. boldly presents a watch which is simplicity itself: the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept in a limited edition of 10 timepieces in white gold.
As the ultimate expression of minimalism and purity, with neither logo nor index - stripped even of the small seconds dial - this perpetual calendar reveals its timeless beauty.
In 2005, H. Moser & Cie. presented a revolutionary perpetual calendar with a complex movement and radically simple dial. No sub-dial, no illegible date disc: the indices showed not only the hours, but also the months, using a small central hand in the shape of an arrow.
A date window at 3 o’clock and power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock completed the piece, making it the most legible and easy-to-adjust watch on the market.
The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar watch became an iconic collector’s piece in 2006 when it was distinguished with the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG) in the complicated watch category.
Ten years on, H. Moser & Cie. marks the 10th anniversary of its flagship model by taking the concept of simplicity to new extremes.
Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., explains: "We were often asked if it would be possible to make an even simpler perpetual calendar. The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept meets that demand".
Featuring the company's signature fumé dial without a visible logo, this timepiece remains immediately identifiable, proof that true luxury is unmistakeable.
The watch is set off by a beige kudu leather strap, lending this bold, modern design an irreverent appeal, with a heart true to the finest watchmaking tradition.
The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept is powered by the HMC 341 calibre, a technical marvel. With a 7-day power reserve, this particularly ingenious movement is the very essence of simplicity itself, enabling the date to be adjusted forwards or backwards at any time of day.
"This is because we don't just create complications, we also create innovative solutions for reading the time", concludes Edouard Meylan.
