Throughout the decades, Malaysia's Hotel PR Queen Dato Rosemarie Wee has been in the forefront in organising this annual Christmas charity. General Managers come and go but Dato Rosemarie Wee stays on and on, doing her good deeds regardless of race, religion or creed, year after year.
This year, the Christmas Tree is themed Magical Macaroon Tree and is lined with mini-Xmas trees crafted entirely of edible, delicious macaroons! All 15,080 of them! The rows even rotate! Adding a whimsical and magical touch as the miniature trees are not static as expected!
Each mini macaroon tree sitting on the 21.5 feet tall Christmas tree costs RM 1,000 and since there are 200, the tree should raise at least RM 200,000.
The donor or company's name will be prominently displayed and all money goes to 7 children in desperate need of medical procedures.
This year, the charities which will receive aid are Rumah Charis, Tasputra PERKIM, Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah and United Nations of High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
