Hotels Announces Ten Finalists of the 2014 Project Aloft Star Competition,
Finalists
Added To 100 Days of Music Lineup
In celebration of its milestone 100th hotel
opening early next year, Aloft Hotels, Starwood’s innovation hub for next-gen
travelers, is proud to launch 100 Days of Music: a global music initiative that
will feature 100 artist performances at 100 Aloft hotels over the next 100
days.
This worldwide tour will offer intimate, exclusive performances by some
of the world’s hottest emerging artists as part of the brand’s popular live
music series, Live at Aloft Hotels.
100 Days
of Music debuts globally tonight with special performance events by Better Than
Ezra at Aloft Brooklyn and The Feeling at Aloft London Excel.
The celebration
continues later this week with kick-off performances by JotDog at Aloft Cancun
on September 25 and a showcase by 10 finalists from Asia’s Project Aloft
Star, amplified by MTV, five of whom will perform at Aloft Kuala Lumpur
Sentral and five at Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park on September 26.
Additionally, between now and December 31, the world’s hottest up-and-coming
bands will take the stage at all of Aloft’s exciting destinations from Brussels
to Beijing, San Francisco to Seoul, Milwaukee to Munich as Aloft counts down to
its 100th hotel opening.

had to put on a show – but not just any show – one that spans across every
single Aloft hotel, connecting guests and locals around the world through the
power of music.”
Coinciding with 100 Days of Music is the announcement
of the finalists of the 5th Annual Project Aloft Star, a global talent
competition with NYLON magazine aimed to identify and support the hottest undiscovered
emerging music artists.

Voting is now open and the winner will be crowned November of this year. The
finalists of the Asia Pacific leg of the competition have also been announced
and will be competing at Aloft Kuala Lumpur and Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Park on
Friday, September 26. Former Project Aloft Star winners, MY BODY, will be
opening for Better Than Ezra at Aloft Brooklyn tonight.
100 Days of Music is the latest example of Aloft’s
passionate commitment to music and talent discovery, providing yet another
unique platform for the brand’s exceptional music programming.
It is an
extension of Live at Aloft Hotels, an ongoing acoustic performance series that
has been a pillar of the brand since the inception of Aloft Hotels in 2008.
Past artists have included Fitz and The Tantrums, Atlas Genius, The Lumineers,
Langhorne Slim, among many others.
