L'TITUDE COMES WITH ATTITUDE AND IMPERIAL RAMA HAS NO DRAMA, JUST HONEST TO GOODNESS CHINESE-THAI FOOD!
Apart from The Olive, Genting Grand also boasts 2 other world class restaurants.
With a name like Imperial Rama none should be surprised this is a Chinese-Thai restaurant since Imperial China and the Thai King's name come to mind.
This fine dining restaurant is classy, elegant and posh as befits its award winning status. It is one of the few restaurants that blend the best of Chinese and Thai cuisines into an artful, divinely delicious repast unequalled in this region.
Helmed by Chef Andy Seng Lup Meng who started in the front desk of a restaurant welcoming guests before realising his forte is hidden inside the kitchen cooking up a storm for diners!
Meanwhile L'titude is located inside the super exclusive members club Genting Club so getting to dine here requires advanced planning. Membership is RM 20,000 but you get RM 17,000 back in chips so it is not too bank breaking.
But if you call in advance, something can always be done since you will be paying around RM 440 for a 6-course meal with wine or RM 288 without.
Dining in L'titude is the last word in exclusivity and style as not only is the food world class but so are the service, ambiance and view.
Enjoy pre-dinner drinks at the bar and lounge with designer decor reminiscent of a gentleman's club in swanky St James, London. Its wine cellar flaunts the most expensive wine and champagne in Malaysia with a jeroboam going for RM 300,000! It was RM 250,000 before the ringgit's decline and is already reserved by a member for New Year Eve!
No one can accuse L'titude of being a garden variety club!
After dinner, walk out into the cavernous hall with 360-degree bar with live shows nightly. Actually you can see and hear the live bands from inside L'titude. Just sit near the entrance.
the 2 presiding geniuses are Chef Ikuo Umeda and twenty-something Chef Mandy Goh who is destined to be Malaysia's Rockstar Chef and Next Big Thing as she has won a slew of awards and is poised for great things.
I heard Genting had to pay top dollar to persuade Chef Mandy Goh to cook here instead of London, Paris or New York!
