THE CHOP HOUSE RESTAURANT OPENS IN HONG KONG!

KEE@FSWMAG.COM
The name sounds like a title of a B-grade horror movie and they should consider changing the logo which depicts a meat chopper or cleaver used to chop innocent beautiful young virgins in the abovementioned horror movies! Even the name of the holding company Wooloomooloo is a tongue-twister and I have to count the number of 'o's! So troublesome lah!

But the foodie is goodie so let us not quibble! So what if the name sounds scary and denotes negative feng shui as long as the grub's great!

New Urban Dining Joint, “THE CHOP HOUSE” Herds Into Hong Kong!

Introduced alongside a new branch of WOOLOOMOOLOO PRIME in Causeway Bay
Wooloomooloo Group is introducing a new dining concept in Hong Kong, a“back-to-basics”grill restaurant called The Chop House, situated in Causeway Bay’s new landmark, Soundwill Plaza II,Midtown. The second branch of Wooloomooloo Prime will also be launched in this iconic building on the sky level.

From its debut in Singapore last year, The Chop House extends its gastro-bar experience to Hong Kong, introducing an array of international dishes with a contemporary spin, perfect for sharing, alongside craft beers and specialty burgers. Guests can enjoy mouthwatering fare in the social surroundings of large group tables, which adds to the urban and relaxed vibe.

Top quality ingredients, tasty signature dishes and unique offerings are on the menu, including the show-stopping 3-4kg Beef Shank Lollipop. Braised to perfection and great for groups, the “Lollipop” is the first of its kind to hit Hong Kong, giving diners a new and exciting way to enjoy a delectable and tender shank with all the trimmings.

In addition to the lip-smacking food, one of the main attractions is the self-serve beer tap, the first motion-censored tap available to Hong Kong beer-lovers. Diners are invited to use the unique selfTAP card to tap in and out and pour their own pints, resulting in a hassle free beer-drinking experience like no other! And if the beer tap whets the appetite for more refreshments, an extensive craft beer cellar includes New Zealand’s Monteith’s Original Ale and Belgium’s FrüliStrawberry Beer, along with a varied drinks and cocktail menu.

“The self-serve beer tap is a fun gadget that fits with our casual concept,” says Wooloomooloo Group founder,Colin Smith.“Back-to-basics is what The Chop House is about, appreciating the fundamentals of a good meal in the vibrant, unpretentious atmosphere of an everyday social eatery.Everyone should feel stress-free once they enter the restaurant.”
