EVER GENEROUS AND SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE WATSONS DID THEIR CSR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CONTRIBUTION IN THE NICEST WAY---TREATING 400 TO A MOVIE!
Everyone was treated to dinner which started from 6 pm to 8.30 pm and in between 12 top buyers from Watsons and 2 guests got to win big prizes!
The delightful dozen was whittled down to 5 after answering questions including delightfully devious ones and devilishly daring ones. For eg, emcee Jude Benjamin Lisa asked contestants to spell 'Watsons' which seemed simple enough but is it 'Watson', 'Watson's' or Watsons'? See, not so easy after all!
The answer is Watsons without the apostrophe s!
Some were were easier with 33.33% chance of winning; "How many Wstsons stores are there in Malaysia? 170, 270 or 370?" Answer is 370
"Watsons is Asia's biggest and most successful chain of beauty and healthcare products? True or false?" Must be true lah!
"How many point(s) do you get for RM 1 spent on Watsons?" Most wrote 1 or 2 but one foolishly wrote 100 points which stunned both guests and emcee!
The second round was more hilarious as each had to pick a toothbrush with rim of cap and place it into a bowl! The winner managed to deposit 18 toothbrushes and got to choose whether she wanted to go to Melbourne or Perth and she chose Melbourne. Both winners could bring a partner and both declined bring me!
Then came a simple lucky draw with 2 winners getting a Magneto helmet. Buddha and Jesus did not bless me so I came home with only the goodie bag!
As for the movie X-Men Apocalypse, I thought was watching Gods of Egypt as the opening was similar since this genre is now the hottest but it was prequel to X-Men series though Erik looked as old then as he did in later movies!
In the end, Professor Xavier and Erik died and were resurrected by the gods Horus and Ra while Jean gave birth to Cyclops' baby.
If you don't believe me you must see the movie for yourself before calling me a liar.
Adding more beauty and glamour were finalists from the coming Miss Malaysia World 2016 organised by Dato Anna Lim who is now in Hove, England.
