Christie’s Hong Kong Spring Sales
of Magnificent Jewels realised HK$ 469,138,750
/ US$ 60,676,998,
and along with jewels sold in the
Anniversary Sale, exceeded US$ 85 million.
The Aurora Green sold for HK$ 130,040,000
/ US$ 16,818,981, setting a world auction record
and price per carat of US$ 3,343,733 for a green diamond, it was purchased by Chow Tai
Fook Jewellery Co LTD.
The sale attracted 197 buyers from 19 countries across
5 continents.
The five additional lots
offered as part of Christie’s 30
Years: The Sale on 30 May, totalled HK$ 191,640,000 / US$ 24,794,901.

the very best in the world of jewels which was exemplified by four new world
auction records.
"The US$ 16.8m Aurora Green diamond, US$ 11.6m for
a pair of ruby ear pendants, a US$ 7.2m Kashmir sapphire bracelet by
Cartier, and a jadeite pendant necklace by Wallace Chan which achieved
US$ 967,000. All together this was a US$ 85m week of jewellery sales
for Christie’s Hong Kong and we look forward to offering collectors new treasures in
the fall.”
