Wedding 2017.
This time around, he has definitely outshined his own previous
collection as Qudyn is always innovative and inventive, playing with new
materials, fabrics, embroidery to cater the demands of everyone, thus, the name
Allure by Qudyn.
Taken place at the beautiful
Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, sixteen beautiful wedding dresses by
Qudyn gracefully walked ‘down the aisle’ in glacial movements, giving different
feels to the audiences.
The wedding dresses are designated to be light and
flowy to highlight the element of classy elegance and modesty for a
bride-to-be. Following the magic touch of embroidery has made the dresses to be
exclusive, and it is a symbol of combination between Malay culture and
contemporary modern.
Despite the norms of Qudyn
that would usually use striking colors to reflect the exclusivity of a dress –
he is now taking a step forward by toning down the colors and goes with lighter
and more pastel for this collection. Ice blue, beige, light pink, white are the
symbols of femininity in general, but these colors also show the diversity of
personalities and tells a different story each – perfect for a wedding
ceremony.
These dresses are meant for those who
enjoy the company of chiffon, organza, lace, net and duchesse. A perfect
wedding dress is structured with a combination of materials. Areas like bodice
and underlays are more about strongly structured materials whereas overlay and
skirts look best in softer and flowy fabrics.
Style, cut, drape, and season are
all important factors that Qudyn took count to determine the best fabric for a
wedding gown.

is all about exaggeration, he enjoys simplicity but he likes to add his own
personal touch that ends up elaborated, glamorous and trendy – just like him.

a recent interview with the designer, “When a woman is celebrating her biggest
day, nothing else matters anymore besides than her soul mate and the wedding
dress”, he laughed and continued, “because in 30 years, wedding photos are just
a reminder that you got married, but a wedding dress saves your memories for a
lifetime, the feeling you get when you start pressing it against your skin and remember
like it was just yesterday”.
