Grand
Brilliance and Infinitus Productions’ highly anticipated J Revolusi, held its film gala premiere at mmCineplexes, eCurve,
Mutiara Damansara on 15 February 2017.
With
the theme “Glitz & Glam”, J Revolusi’s
gala night was enlivened by the presence of the guest of honor, Deputy Inspector
General, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Noor Rashid bin Ibrahim.
Also present at the gala
event were the cast members, media partners, members of the Royal Malaysian
Police Force, contest winners, sponsors U Mobile, Samsung Malaysia Electronics,
Bermaz Motor Trading Sdn Bhd (exclusive distributor of MAZDA vehicles in
Malaysia), 7-Eleven Malaysia and others.
J Revolusi is about
Jay Zulkarnain (Zul Ariffin) who is an assault leader of Malaysia's elite
Special Forces, the UTK (Unit Tindakhas). Highly trained in combat, Jay and his
squad of operatives are every criminal's worst nightmare.
But when Jay's
sister, Dian (Nur Fazura), an undercover agent, is captured by a mysterious
terrorist who also frames Jay for the murder of his squad, Jay must race
against time to rescue her and unravel the secret of the villain who will stop
at nothing to destroy him.
The
film features a stellar ensemble cast led by the winner of Most Promising Actor
(Festival Filem Malaysia 26) Zul
Ariffin, Izara Aishah, winner of Best Actress Award (Festival Filem Malaysia 27) Fazura and Farid Kamil.
They are joined
by other big Malaysian talents such as Azad Jazmin and Iedil Putra as well as
special appearances by Dato' Hans Isaac, and One Championship's Mixed Martial
Arts (MMA) athletes, Peter Davis, Saiful Merican, Jenathan and Davron.
J Revolusi is touted
as the must watch film of 2017, and has the potential to attract a cross
section of Malaysian society and people of all ages. It's groundbreaking action
scenes were designed by Hong Kong stunt consultants in collaboration with local
stunt experts, and for the first time, Malaysian Unit Tindakhas (UTK) is
prominently featured in a film.
Audience were treated to surprising
performances by the cast playing roles which differ from their usual
repertoire. J Revolusi is scheduled
for theatrical release nationwide come 2 March 2017.
