Remember the Starfleet Machine, our very first table-clock collaboration with L’Epée, back in 2014?
Well, that horological space station returns in 2020, in a much more compact size (diameter 16.5cm, height 11cm), bright colours, and accompanied by a fleet of three small spacecraft exploring the universe; it rightfully bears the name of STARFLEET EXPLORER.
At the top of the station, minutes are indicated on a revolving disc, read off when they appear through the centre of a fixed metal aperture.
The hours ring placed just below remains motionless: a hand indicates the hour by performing a complete revolution around the ring in 12 hours.
Starfleet Explorer features a new element in the form of three small spacecraft, lined up along the same axis at regular intervals and placed inside the movement, around which they revolve at a rate of one full turn every five minutes: a space exploration guided by the mothership.
Starfleet Explorer is launched as three limited editions of 99 pieces each in blue, green and red. Retail price is CHF 9,900 + VAT ; now available at our eShop : https://bit.ly/2WqGD7N
