Happening for
only 3 weeks from 16 November to 9 December, it promises to be an entertaining
spectacle for all age groups with its fast moving, artistic, unique and
multilingual narrative. This unique show, playing at the Genting
International Showroom, showcases skills that took over 25 years to hone and
perfect. Be sure to look out for the tiny details, meticulously handcrafted and
designed by these two renowned puppeteers, as well as amazing animation and
rib-tickling humour as they pull over a thousand strings just for you.
John and Josef are wholly responsible for the
creation and animation of each of their puppets. The attention to detail in
each and every character is impeccable, the movement range and mechanism truly
amazing, and the operational artistry absolutely second to none. Hailed as the
absolute ultimate in marionette entertainment and as the finest act of its
type, this non-stop show unfolds number after number to delight and thrill
audiences.
The stunning visual impact of the characters
coupled with their musical accompaniments have been responsible for breaking
language barriers, enabling Stars on Strings to feature on satellite television
across Europe, as well as on major cruise lines such as Cunard, P&O,
Crystal, Silversea, Saga, and Norwegian Cruise Line to multilingual audiences.
John from the U.K. and Josef from Austria
have enjoyed outstanding success with their marionettes, delighting audiences
of all ages and nationalities throughout America, Europe, the Middle East, and
the Far East for more than 25 years. They have performed alongside some of the
most prestigious names in show business and have become one of the most
sought-after marionette acts in the world.
John Chrisholm begins his career in puppet
making and performing with one of Britain’s top TV puppet companies, which led
to appearances with many of the big shows in the United Kingdom. These included
gala shows for the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, and the Royal Variety Show
at the London Palladium before Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother.
Austrian-born Josef Probst’s continental
approach to the act imbues it with a wider international appeal that transcends
language and national barriers. His appearances include on Satelite TV across
Europe with stars from Germany, Italy, Belgium, and England. One of their
maiden achievements was performing the opening act for Rita Coolidge and
Rosemary Clooney’s album. Even Lord Yehudi Menuhin sang the performance’s
praises.
