CAN'T MAKE IT INTO MERCEDES-BENZ STYLO FASHION FESTIVAL WHICH IS GEARED TOWARDS FAMOUS, ESTABLISHED DESIGNERS LIKE ZANG TOI AND KEITH KEE AND UP AND COMING DESIGNERS WITH SOME EXPOSURE?

KLIFW or KL Indie Fashion Week is the godsend answer!

"These young, unknown designers cannot afford a brick and mortar boutique and sell online or weekend markets from stalls. They cannot afford to pay models and hold shows. So for them, we create KLIFW as Indie stands for Independent!" explains CEO and KLIFW founder Alvin Sinclair the life saviour of struggling young, impoverished but talented designers.

Kuala Lumpur Indie Fashion Week (produced by XXL Events Asia) will be from 9 till 15 May at Publika. The press conference was held on 28 April at Timbre@ The Row

Application closes on the 15th of May. Half a million ringgit---that's really a lot of dough, thanks Saito!

Guests were treated to video presentations and a fashion preview catwalk showcasing designer pieces from Imanhood, The Lyla, Dyaskalo, Batto Clothing, Robot Pasca Soviet and Joe Rahman.

Local indie artistes Maya Hanum and Sarah Jade performed on stage while guests were served refreshments provided by KLIFW 2016’s food and beverage partners; Peh’stry, Bagus and That The Tarik Place.
