Linde Werdelin Oktopus Double Date 3DTP Carbon Launches Two New Colours

Just in time to enjoy the summer sunshine and oceans,
Linde Werdelin introduce two new Oktopus Double Date 3DTP™ Carbon editions, in bright yellow and ocean blue with a water resistance down to 300m.

The Oktopus Double Date 3DTP™ Carbon Series is a marvel in watch making, using innovative techniques that have taken years to master, resulting in the ultimate lightweight watch with intricate design details and
a custom-made Swiss movement.

Oktopus 3DTP Carbon Double Date Yellow

The Oktopus Double Date is a Big Date complication, crafted with a custom-made automatic movement in collaboration with Dubois Dépraz, a renowned 110 year old family-owned complications maker who is highly recognised as one of the best in the industry.
Bright yellow and ocean blue have been applied as accents to their respective dials with a matching natural rubber strap. The large hour numerals are printed in a striking luminant, allowing divers to read the dial easily underwater.

Oktopus 3DTP Carbon Double Date Sporty Blue
The dial design gives an octopus representation, with the centres of the date wheels looking like its eyes and the tentacles spread along 4 to 8 o’clock.

The skeletonised date wheels are skilfully crafted in order to beautifully reveal parts of the intricate movement beneath and delicately spray-painted by hand to ensure the consistency is a super fine coating - just a touch too much paint deposited and the discs would become too thick for the wheels to function properly. A true testament to watch craftsmanship.

3DTP Carbon

3DTP™ (3-Dimensional Thin-Ply) is a marvel of engineering. Differing from traditional carbon fibre composites or forged carbon, 3DTPinvolves a technique of layering thin sheets of carbon that took many years to master, resulting in the ultimate lightwight watch.

The Linde Werdelin’s strap system also allows you interchangeable options to transform your timepiece, should you wish to switch to any other strap or bracelet in the LW range.
