My RM 313 bottle of Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial given to me on Valentine's Day 14 Feb by Princess Dr Becky Leogardo who hosted a Valentine's Day dinner at the Chinese restaurant at Mandarin Oriental. Her message in gold felt ink was 'Happy Day love from Becky & Michael'.
Princess Dr Becky Leogardo hosted a Valentine's Day dinner on 14 February at the Chinese restaurant at Mandarin Oriental and gave every couple a limited edition bottle of Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial champagne!

AS EXPECTED, THE INVITEES WERE YOUNG, EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL AND SUCCESSFUL. I DID NOT SEE ANY TAN SRI OR RICH DATUK WHO ARE THE USUAL BUYERS OF CHAMPERS BUT I SAW MANY AT THE RESIDENCE OF THE NEW ZEALAND HIGH COMMISSIONER WHERE NEW ZEALAND FOOD WEEK WAS LAUNCHED AT 6.30PM.
BY 9 PM THE NZ PARTY WAS BEGINNING TO FIZZLE SO IRIS TAN, THE CEO OF STAR PUBLICATIONS BY WHICH I MEAN CHIEF EVENTS OFFICER AND NOT CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, LEFT AND SHE GAVE ME A LIFT TO PAVILION AS SHE HAS A CHAUFFEUR AND COMPANY CAR SO SHE COULD NOT PROTEST SHE WAS TOO TIRED TO DRIVE.
WHEN I ARRIVED, THE SPEECHES WERE OVER BUT THE PARTY WAS IN FULL SWING. MANY FOLLOWED THE DRESS CODE OF PINK AND WHITE WHICH IS A VERY VIRGINAL COLOUR COMBO AND MAKES ME THINK OF VIRGINS AND CHASTITY AND INNOCENCE.
Speaking of which, a sultry singer was serenading but she was not exactly Beyonce, Madonna or Jennifer Lopez so I asked emcee Daphne Iking who the singer was. The sexy Daphne Iking answered what sounded like Bubba so I asked if that was her name, Bubba as in Bubba Gump the hero in the movie of same name?
Trust the ever effervescent, bubbly and delicious (just like Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial that was being launched) Daphne to reply without batting a mascara-ed eyelash. "'Poo' as in what you do in your loo and 'va' as in vagina."
So the singer's name was Poova! Not Bubba. And now that I think about it, wasn't it Daphne's vagina that got her into so much trouble a few years ago with someone from a shoe company which captivated and titillated all Malaysians for months on end? Anyway Daphne Iking is still bouncing and bubbly and babe-licious as ever and power to her as I think she is so classy, gutsy and sexy! Very much like me!
You have heard of 1Malaysia. Here is one 1king and how suitable she should be next to 2 crowned bottles of Moet worthy of a king or queen!
One can never have enough of Daphne Iking
I bet you too love this glam-slam shot of Daphne Iking with open mouth as if waiting for something to be poured inside...like Rose Imperial Moet!
Also looking very pinky was Lavin Seow
Kee Hua Chee also wore the Moet Crown but did not have the same effect and even Mei Sze had to agree
Pink champagne is ideal for Valentine's Day and every single day of the year! My favourite tipple is always rose or pink champagne as my complexion always turns this colour after a flute or two or maybe three!
On 12 February, a day before the party, Princess Becky and I were wandering in Pavilion wondering what to buy for her guests on 14 February. She was hosting a private Valentine's Day dinner at the Chinese Restaurant in Mandarin Oriental hotel for me, Micheal Mantz, Tan Sri Jason Goh, Puan Sri Pernille Goh, Tan Sri Othman Marican, Puan Sri Sylvia Marican, Dato Flora Ong and her hubby. Not only was she paying heftily for dinner, Princess Becky Leogardo is the sort who gives presents too to her guests!
So when she saw Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial, she swooped in and bought 5 bottles at RM 313 each as I suggested a bottle of champagne for each couple would be perfection. She paid RM 1,565. I asked if we could get a discount as we could buy a dozen bottles of the limited edition champagne but not a sen. Mind you, the normal bottle without the presentation case was only RM 287 but this version came with a gold felt pen so the giver could scribble a message to the lucky recipient!
However for every bottle purchased we could get a glass of pink champagne plus strawberries! But as she was in a rush to return home as her husband was ailing, I stayed back and slowly consumed the champagne and strawberries.
The Rose Imperial 'Tag Your Love' bottle is so precious I will only drink it while having wild sex with my beloved and then sell the bottle on eBay. Said Frederick Noyere, MD of Moet Hennessy Diageo Malaysia, "This limited edition is ideal for Valentine's Day and the coming Mother's Day and Father's Day."
The celebration never stops does it?
This celebration of love for the champagne house saw fashionistas, celebrities, and socialites sipping flutes of Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial while a few forked out RM 313 to declare their love for each other through personalised Moët Rosé Impérial “Tag Your Love” bottles. Reflecting Moët & Chandon's fun and flirty style, the iconic Moët Rosé Impérial bottle is dressed in pink and comes with a specially crafted Moët marker pen for personal love notes to be inscribed on the bottle itself.
“In true Moët & Chandon style, the limited edition Rosé Impérial “Tag Your Love” bottle is given a fresh take on an urban spin, while still representing the unique characteristics discovered within the bottle, inherent to those who enjoy Moët champagne. Moët’s signature bottles will always be synonymous as tributes to special events, and we can't think of a better time to launch this limited edition bottle, in time for consumers to celebrate the upcoming season of love with Valentine's, Mother's Day, and Father's Day around the corner,” said Frederick Noyere, Managing Director of Moët Hennessy Diageo Malaysia.
On the first night of the launch, four limited edition bottles dressed up by designers selected by a leading Chinese language lifestyle and fashion magazine gave the Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial bottle an even more desirable spin. KL's social set, hosted by a prestigious high society magazine, made the Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial bottle the main talking point of the second night. Four prominent couples were also presented with their own Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial bottle, adorned with personalised messages given to their respective partners.
Irresistibly alluring and perfect for creating memories, Rosé Impérial is the most seductive expression of the Moët & Chandon style. Lively and generous, the Moët Rosé blend artfully combines the intensity of Pinot Noir, the fruitiness of Pinot Meunier and the finesse of Chardonnay. This delightful pink champagne is distinguished by heady, sensual aromas—a lively bouquet of fresh, red, summer berries with floral nuances and a light peppery touch. The flamboyant palate fuses intensity and roundness—fleshy and juicy at first, then firm (fruit stone), with a subtle herbal (mint) finish.
Moët & Chandon fans were able to partake in the celebratory gesture of the customisable Rosé Impérial bottle pack that was exclusively available at the Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial “Tag Your Love” showcase at Centre Court, Pavilion KL from 8th of February to the 14th of February 2012, and thereafter, while stocks last.
A bold declaration of love, a memorable birthday wish, a happy anniversary gesture they’ll never forget, a Valentine sent with a glittery kiss you can keep forever… Moët & Chandon have been creating fabulous celebrations for over two and half centuries and the “Tag Your Love” Moët gift set is the most glamorous way to share the famous Moët Magic all year long for both special occasions…and occasions you want to make special!
