SLINKY SLEEVES---THE NEW FASHION MUST-HAVES

KEE@FSWMAG.COM

THEY ARE HOT. THEY ARE SEXY. THEY ARE WELL, SLINKY!

ADD ON THE SLEEVES AND THEY BECOME SLINKY SLEEVES!

PERFECT FOR TROPICAL CLIMES WHERE THE SUN BEATS DOWN ON OUR PRECIOUS SKIN RELENTLESSLY AND WE AGE PREMATURELY WHICH EXPLAINS WHY I NEVER TOOK UP SPORTS EXCEPT FOR BEDMINTON AND I MEAN BEDMINTON AND NOT BADMINTON WHICH IS BAD FOR YOUR SKIN WHILE JUICES PRODUCED DURING BEDMINTON ARE VERY GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN!

Anyway, we are always told to use sunscreen on our faces but what about the hands? That part between wrist and armpit? Fingers I am sad to say are beyond rescue unless you wear gloves which will make you a laughing stock but fingers are tougher so they should be ok and you just need to rub hand lotion onto them now and then.

Slinky Sleeves is the answer!

Just look at them---so cool and sexy and sure to be a talking point. A fashion accessory that does some work for once! Now you can protect your skin and still look good---in fact look even trendier than ever!

I have ordered some and will upload photos of me wearing them as I really don't agree only women can wear Slinky Sleeves! They are fairly priced at RM 75 to RM 100 for a pair, as in 2 Slinky Sleeves just in case you think RM 75 is for one Slinky Sleeve and you need pay double since you have 2 hands!

Not surprisingly, they originate from Australia where only kangaroos, koalas and wombats have good skin!

They are designed by Christine Silbert who comes up with snazzy ideas every few months so check out her site www.slinkysleeves.com.au and order from there with PayPal. Slinky Sleeves also come with matching dresses very affordably priced even peasants like us from impoverished Third World can snap up by the armful!

Stylish Slinky Sleeves -

the perfect travel accessory

When going on holiday we pack the hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for skin protection, but forget the sensitive area of the top of the hands and arms exposed by the favourite T-shirt, skimpy top and swimsui.

All are essential, but sunscreen can wear off and be ineffective while spending the hottest part of the day sightseeing, walking the streets in search of good shopping, relaxing at an outdoor café or bar or sitting by the pool or on the beach.

WA businesswoman and frequent traveller, Christine Silbert knows the damaging effects of the sun and has created Slinky Sleeves to make you look good whilst providing valuable sun protection.

Slinky Sleeves come in a range of stretch cottons, jersey and fine fabrics for day and in laces, net, velvet and sparkling fabrics to add a touch of glamour and give an outfit a whole new look at night.

To add even more fun and individual stamp, you can purchase from the Online Shop sequined or ribbon rosettes and fabulous flat beads to sew on, or Swarovski crystals and diamantes that can be hot-fixed.

"Slinky Sleeves are easy to wear, weigh less than 50 grams a pair and pack down to nothing in a backpack or suitcase. I took a few pair on a trip to Italy and Mediterranean boat cruise last year and they were ideal,” said Christine.

Slinky Sleeves also come in velvets and warmer fabrics for cooler climes or cold airconditioning, adding warmth and interest to an outfit. There is no snow in Malaysia but many work in heavily air-conditioned offices which is just as freezing.

Christine said she had been wearing plain white cotton sleeves for driving the car, but they didn’t look very attractive so she didn’t want to wear them outside the car. This meant she was still in the sun without hand and arm protection.

"I didn’t want to wear a long sleeve top and gloves, and I had to do something following the removal of a potentially serious skin cancer on my hand. I couldn’t find anything out there in the marketplace, so Slinky Sleeves was created,” said Christine.

Many of the wide selection of Slinky Sleeves materials and colours are up to the moment fashionable, however Christine also caters for all tastes with pastels, prints and sports white.

The sleeves shape around the top of the hand and palm, anchor with a loop on the middle finger and extend to the upper arm. The design enables you to wear your rings and jewellery.

Slinky Sleeves have proven to have a much wider application with requests coming from people with all kinds of skin conditions such as blemishes, tattoos and scars that they want to cover up.

"Everyone wants to look their best - especially on holiday - and Slinky Sleeves help people feel good about themselves,” said Christine. "My philosophy is that I want people to look good, do something good for themselves, and enjoy wearing Slinky Sleeves.”

Two years down the track the on-line business is starting to take off with orders and interest from across Australia and as far away as Israel, the UK, USA, Hong Kong and Ireland.
