SUEN ROCKS WITH RESORTS WORLD MANILA

KEE@FSWMAG.COM

LEE SZE SUEN, THE 3RD MEMBER OF MALAYSIA'S TRIPARTITE OF POWERFUL FEMALE JEWELLERS (THE OTHER TWO BEING TRACY ONG OF ELEGANCE CLUB AND WINNIE SIN OF RAFFLESIA), HOSTED HER STUNNING DEBUT GALA SINCE SHE WENT SOLO SOME 18 MONTHS AGO.

LEE SZE SUEN, AKA SUEN WAS PREVIOUSLY MARRIED TO CHAN BOON YONG AND IT FELT LIE YESTERDAY WHEN I ATTENDED THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF CARAT CLUB WHEN EVERY GUEST WAS GIVEN A 0.10 CARAT DIAMOND! WELL, THAT WAS 5 OR SO YEARS AGO AND THE COUPLE WAS SO HAPPY THEN.

Anita Sarawak sang. Chan Boon Yong's parents were there to congratulate their son and daughter-in-law for elevating the name of Carat Club which did so well they even had a branch in Singapore. The C.Club at Pavilion was the hottest and snazziest joint in town, sprawling over 3 storeys with fine dining and Moon Terrace with stunning view of Bukit Bintang all the way to Sungai Wang Plaza. Datuk Steven Tan, MD of Star Publications was also there wiwth Datin Jenny Tan. All the high and mighty of high society were there at that fateful event at JW Marriott Ballroom.

How times have changed.

In her speech, Suen spoke openly about the high-drama, rather acrimonious split and messy divorce after hubby dumped her for a pr girl and decamped to Shanghai to open Carat Club Shanghai. I was in Shanghai last November staying in Waldorf Astoria the best hotel in all China and was flipping through a glossy magazine in my RM 3,000 a night room when I saw Chan's new wife extolling the virtues of diamonds purchased from The Carat Club---the very stuff Suen used to do when she was Mrs Chan!

I phoned Suen instantly from Shanghai regardless of great expense as Celcom charges so much for overseas call and told her. She coolly asked me to bring the magazine back. I commented the photo of the new Mrs Chan resembled her somewhat and received a cool response.

Oh well, men all liked a certain look anyway and even when they abandoned their old wife for a new model, the successor tends to resemble her predecessor! Just ask Donald Trump---doesn't first wife Ivana look exactly like second wife Marla and third wife bears a striking resemblance to these two except for her brunette hair. Of course the first two were blonde as blondes are regarded as the trophiest of all trophy wives. You never ever see a dame with black hair marrying a tycoon unless it happens in China as all china women have black hair with no exceptions! Even if a chink marries a blonde, the poor daughter still retains black hair!

In her speech, Suen said she suffered the worst 6 weeks in her life in 2010 when she lost her husband, had to close 2 Carat Club shops (one in Pavilion and another in Bangsar), settle all financial matters, release all staff (a few of who later turned out to be turn-coats who had betrayed her!) and hire new staff! All these while looking after her 3 sons.

I advised her to try win back Chan Boon Yong who is very handsome and one of my favourite men and the pair was touted as one one of the most goodlooking and well-matched couples in KL. I told her to have sex with him when he stayed at their palatial home during his visits to see his children as he stayed in the family home worth some RM 18 million. So big it is equal to 5 average houses! Well, obviously my plan failed as they divorced to my annoyance as I wanted to take credit for bringing them back together.

To Suen's credit, she never stopped her sons from being with their father and I bet he did the same. Me, I would have poisoned my kids from ever seeing their mother if I divorce, painting wifey as the Evil Incarnate and bane of mankind and my children should avoid her like the plague. Guess this is why Buddha and Jesus Christ forbade me from marrying a woman, any woman.

She also announced she would do 3 things after the divorce as the audience at Mandarin Oriental hung on to every word and almost stopped breathing from excitement. I had to down 3 glasses of champagne to calm my nerves.

She said, "First thing I wanted to be the best mother to my kids. Second, I wanted to rebuild my jewellery business. Third, this may sound selfish but I wanted to look the best I could be based on my maturity."

The audience roared her approval.

However, Suen should have mentioned my name as it was I who told her to go to the gym, have her teeth fixed with Datuk Dr Sean Paul at LivingWell Centre at Starhill , wear the sexiest dresses possible withoit being arrested by Polis DiRaja Malaysia or Joan Rivers' Fashion Police. OK so maybe she already was toying with the idea before I mentioned it to her but it was I who told her she must look divine with a trim, healthy and sexy figure with big boobs and so what if I had to drag her screaming and protesting to Bangkok to enlarge her breasts and get bee-stung lips.

Well, she duly went to see Dr Datuk Sean Paul who enhanced her teeth the same way he did all 28 teeth of mine so Suen and I now flaunt the best teeth in the world and when you see Suen and me smile, all you can think of is kissing us smack on our lips and shoving things into our mouths as our teeth make our smiles so irresistible!

I drilled into her brains she must have a to-die-for figure so everyone will ask why was Chan Boon Yong so foolish to leave her. I told her if she let herself go to pasture, eat like a cow and pig combined and end up looking like a beached whale, people will nod and say 'No wonder her husband left her, look at her shape!"

I also advised her to turn the tables and get a handsome, hunky toyboy with big dick aged 20 or less as long as he is younger than the new Mrs Chan. As for the size of his big cock, I would spread the word all over town by claiming I had seen his appendage with my own eyes. But since this might imply we had sex and he was a flaming faggot, I would say I was peeing the loo when he came in to do the same thing and I had a peek despite him having to hold it with both hands with plenty to spare.

This Suen declined and the last I heard she did even better---she has a billionaire bf, a diamond wholesaler! I thought she would give me a 20-carat diamond but all I got was a sterling silver star plated in white gold---same as each of her 600 guests got at her Suen Rocks gala! I have asked Keith Kee to make a wedding suit for me to attend her wedding in Hong Kong as that is where he is based.

I hope Suen produces a book about her life! Such a strong woman! "I just finished reading 570 pages of Steve Jobs' biography. So inspiring," she announced. "Steve said when he built Apple, it was his team who contributed to its success. It is the same at Suen, my new jewellery business!"

Then the indefatigable Suen announced she would sing a song dedicated to all her guests and symbolic of what she has gone through.

We clapped rapturously as she went from podium to stage and took over the mike. The title of her song? "The Impossible Dream"! So suitable, apt and appropriate! This song was composed by Mitch Leigh with lyrics by Joe Darian for the 1965 musical 'Man of La Mancha'.

I never knew Suen could sing so well and she should release an album on such meaningful, sentimental songs, to be given with every purchase of her bling!

Three bling collections were revealed that night; La Reve or 'The Dream" in French, Hodel pearls and her own personal Zodiac collection featuring animals and dragons. The Drivers and Spirit of 67 snag oldies but goodies tunes and only 2 speeches were made. One by Stephen Reilly, executive vice-president of Resorts World Manila and by Suen herself.

9 lucky draws were drawn but despite my petitions to heaven and its denizens, I did not win any of the two RM 10,500 weekend stay at Resorts World Manila, one 4D3N Phuket cruise worth RM 7,000, 12.4mm Hodel pearl worth RM 660, Lalique Crystal Fragrance for Man on a jaguar flacon marked #1 of 1,000 worth RM 4,550 and 2 jewels from Suen, La Reve and Zodiac.

Although I was mortally mortified as I did not win any lucky draw, I must say I had a Rocking Good Time! Thanks Suen!

the end

When she named her gala (which will be an annual affair thanks to Buddha and Jesus!) Suen Rocks, she really meant it. Apart from her rocks as in diamonds and rock as in rock and roll and rock as in rollicking good time, even OUR names rocked---at every seat, the occupant's name was hand written in gold ink on a rock! Yes, rock as in a rock or piece of stone! I brought back my rock as a precious souvenir!
