The bad news is that Melinder Kaur has a boyfriend so those planning to marry her in 2014 may now dispense with the plans while those hoping to waylay her and steal her virginity will have to contend with the hawk eyed Ravin Kabhi.
Is Raveen an old, decrepit, feeble, ugly, fat old but rich man? No, even worse---Ravin Kabhi is young, tall, handsome and personable! So I am afraid those interested in Melinder's face and body and whatever assets she has will face stiff competition. In fact, Ravin Kabhi looks like a Bollywood movie star and certainly infinitely more handsome than the over-rated and old and short and hook-nosed Sharukh Khan.
Anyway, Melinder's mother Corrine Anne arrived to congratulate her daughter and both hugged and shed some tears though Melinder's whole family were there in the ballroom to witness Melinder win the crown.
Sadly, Melinder's father could not be present to celebrate as he passed away in 2011 but as Melinder's sister Hashreen put it so correctly and nicely, "Dad is in heaven now looking down on us so it is fine."
Melinder has only one sister Hashreen and no brother so there will not be a Mr Manhunt in the family. Hashreen is pretty as a picture and very vivacious and engaging but needs to lose some avoirdupois before enrolling as contestant next year.

You so wrong, Kee Hua Chee. Punjabis are generally very fair skinnned people. Unfortunately, after residing in Malaysia for many years with its stinging sun, that has somehow caused melanin overproduction and therefore you find them to be reddish brownish skin (due to prolonged skin damage). And also not to forget, the mixed marriages that is so common today, many Punjabis are also married to Tamilians which resulted in their offspring taking up the color of the stronger gene. Anyway, beauty should not be judged on the color of the skin. It should be from the inner beauty which is totally lacking from our Asian contestants.
