ROOMS WITH KILLER VIEWS IN BANGKOK---SALA RATTANAKOSIN!

KEE@FSWMAG.COM

MANY TRAVELLERS PAY PREMIUM RATES TO GET ROOMS WITH A VIEW AS SOME ROOMS IN MAGNIFICENT HOTELS OVERLOOK THE CARPARK.

Even among beach hotels, usually half face the sea and the remaining 'poor cousins' overlook what is politely called 'garden views'. The cheapest rooms naturally offer the lousiest views of carparks, power generator buildings or unsalubrious neighbourhoods.

Of course you get what you pay for!

Sea facing rooms or rooms staring directly at famous landmarks like temples, statues, national monuments or state icons or with balconies command anything from 10% to 50% extra.

In Bangkok, the new sala rattanakosin (yes they insist on spelling it with no capital letters for some obscure reason) has won the Conde Nast Travellers 'Room With A View' award for the most spectacular views in all of Bangkok!

Just look at what Room 3.07 offers from the comfort of your bed!

Condé Nast Applauds sala rattanakosin's "Room With A View"

sala rattanakosin Bangkok, Shangri-La Hotel Paris, the Regent Berlin, Bellagio Las Vegas, The Standard Hotel New York, Intercontinental Sydney and the Mena House Oberoi Giza. What do all of these hotels have in common? They all feature in Condé Nast Travelers "Room with a View" editorial.
sala rattanakosin’s room 3.07 and its stunning view of Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) is the latest guest room to feature in Condé Nast Traveler’s prized editorial piece. This feature selects iconic vistas from hotel suites, villas and guest rooms the world over, including iconic outlooks such as the Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House, the Pyramids of Giza and the Las Vegas Strip.

Accomplished photographer Cedric Arnold (www.cedricarnold.com) provides the inspiring photograph from room 3.07 to secure selection for the latest sala boutique property. Howver, is is the avid description from Condé Nast captures the essence of Bangkok’s latest hidden gem.

“With Wat Arun glowing so intensely across the Chao Phraya, guests are tempted to stay up all night. Its name, after all, means Temple of Dawn, and here in Bangkok, where the sacred has long coexisted with the profane, plenty of revelers are out until the wee hours. But, with a setting this spectacular, who could blame you for parking on that daybed just to enjoy the view?

This is one of seven riverfront rooms at the four-month-old sala rattanakosin, a modernist roost carved out of two nineteenth-century shophouses and a brick warehouse bang in the middle of sightseeing central. Just out the door in Old Town lies, literally, the august, gilded Reclining Buddha. Nearby, behind the white fortress walls of the Grand Palace, is the Emerald Buddha; carved from jade and clothed in gold, it is so revered that only the king himself is allowed near it. Yet the sight to see is best viewed from this very spot or, for a change of pace, from the hotel’s open-air rooftop bar: Wat Arun may embody the dawn, but its glow is most glorious at sunset.”

I am very happy to read this. This is the kind of stuff that needs to be given and not the accidental sea-views that’s at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this but, Do you have some good ideas about Koh Samui property?.
