Jubilee Year 2015: 150 Years Ascent of the Matterhorn
Zermatt celebrates the Matterhorn throughout the entire year in 2015. On 14 July, the anniversary of the first ascent by the Zermatt mountain guides Peter and Peter Taugwalder (Father and Son) and the Englishman Edward Whymper is celebrated for the 150th time.
