Here is why!
Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse

My cousins on holiday illegally picking wild flowers so arrest them
The natives merely admire the blooms and leave them intact
Look at the darlings! And I mean the chinky girls too
Hand feeding kangaroos is one of the things you must do before you die
Patting a pony is pleasant but you can do this at Mont Kiara riding school but our hot weather means you can't pat outdoors
The town of Margaret River is utterly charming!
Food in Australia is delicious and very reasonable and no wonder it is called Land of Milk and Honey cos little money is required!
A stroll in Boranup Forest is so pleasant as ours is filled with leeches, snakes, tigers and mosquitoes!
Romantic stroll in Brookland Valley vineyard
Romantic picnic by the rocks---just make sure you don't fall into the sea when a big wave hits like the mother of all swells in the photo below
This mother of all swells hit Margaret River last week and has gone viral and received over 54,000 'Likes' on 'Australia' page

Margaret River in Australia’s Top 10
Places to Go in 2013
Margaret River has been named one of the ‘Top 10 Places to go in
Australia in 2013’ by Fairfax Media’s nationally acclaimed Melbourne and
Sydney tabloids ‘The Age’ and the ‘Sydney Morning Herald’.
Margaret River was recognised along with North Western
Australia, Lord Howe Island and other Australian destinations that were
considered to be “hidden gems to be shared with family and friends”, in
Saturday’s travel section.
The feature highlighted new innovative tourism product in the
Margaret River region such as night-time tours of award winning wineries,
creative dining and lodge accommodation “to die for”, as well as menu
highlights such as cheese, olive oil, venison, beef and marron in a region
“that has come of age and attracts international food and wine experts”.
Editor Ben Naparstek of the Good Weekend section where the list
was featured predicted that the 10 destinations on the list will “come into
their own this year…” and suggested that “you’ll want to get there before
everyone else does!”
Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association CEO Simon Ambrose
said it was a wonderful acknowledgement by a highly regarded Australian
newspaper group.
“It’s great to see that Margaret River is recognised as being in
the Top 10 Places to go in Australia this year by Fairfax’s leading
publications - The Age and the Sydney Morning Herald.”
“The Margaret River region is certainly a hidden gem – its
beautiful forests, caves, beaches, and gourmet food and wine are just some of
the treasures waiting to be discovered. The sentiment that people
should get here before everyone else does is spot on – we couldn’t agree
more!” said Mr Ambrose.
The 2 newspapers have a combined circulation of 500,000 and a readership of 1.6 million on Saturdays.
