Hong Kong is awashed with luxury hotels but an impossibly stylish boutique hotel designed by Philippe Starck is not a dime a dozen. J Plus Boutique Hotel (its official mouthful of a name) conveniently located at throbbing Causeway Bay is offering a package that seems almost cheap by Hong Kong standards.

J Plus’s ‘Girls Night-In’ package costs RM 830++ per night and comes with a bottle of champagne, sweet nibbles and pampering kits filled with girly goodies A perfect start for a sweet escape for 3 girlfriends. As in 3 women.

Yes, scandalously and shamelessly sexist as it sounds, ‘Girls Night-In’ are only for females!

Only members of the female species get to enjoy J Plus’s ‘Girls Night-In’ offer of luxurious services and exclusive offers from the hottest restaurants and most tranquil spas in Causeway Bay. Management will have to be consulted if 2 women insist on bringing a gay friend who is probably as good if not better than a woman when it comes to make-up, dresses and shopping. A surcharge applies for a fourth girl.

‘Girls Night-In’ is the perfect excuse for stressed out ladies to unwind, ‘unlax’ and recapture the fun of being girls again. Breakfast is included and this is the best time  for a pamper party, hen night with the bride or girls looking for a relaxing get-together in one of Asia’s sizzliest cities.

Once ensconced in your luxurious suite, you can settle down to a wide selection of all time favourite chick flicks and cosy up on the couch. Enjoy your mini cinematic experience as J Plus will even send up popcorn and soft drinks gratis!

With no such thing as too much pampering, giggling and gossiping, guests can indulge in some private beautifying in comfy bathrobes and have fun giving each other manicure, pedicure, hair colouring or facial with goodie bags filled with skincare and body care products courtesy of J Plus! Finish them or bring home as souvenirs after an indulgent stay.

On hand is an impressive spread of the latest fashion and lifestyle magazines so you can catch up with the latest trends taking Hong Kong by storm. The clothes and accessories should be available near your hotel as Time Square is just round the corner.

There is the Penthouse Fitness Room should you feel like working out after some excesses.

Still, one does not fly all the way to Hong Kong just to stay inside your hotel suite, however luxurious. So if locking yourself in is not what you have in mind, J Plus comes to the rescue with VIP access to some of Hong Kong’s hottest, members only clubs. The coveted J Plus Insider Access Card allows you to sashay into elite clubs so bring your sassiest dresses and make new friends at Dragon-I, Fly and the eponymous KEE Club right in the heart of Central.

Other offers include discounts at select restaurants, bars, boutiques and lifestyle stores and HK$ 500 voucher for hair spa treatment at La Mod Salon & Hair Spa.

Now is not the time to count calories as you can do that back in Malaysia. There are complimentary afternoon cakes, all day soft beverages and juices in the lobby followed by wine during cocktail hours.

With just 56 rooms, studios and suites each with kitchenette, home theatre system in the sitting area and luxury bathroom, J Plus is the last word for style conscious tourists. The rooms and public spaces are decorated to mimic a small apartment rather than standard hotel room. At 380 sq ft for a studio and 780 sq ft for a suite, the rooms are considered cavernous. J Plus is also renowned as the Asian hotel interior debut by French design guru Philip Starck so you can come home with some bragging rights.

Despite its boutique status, it even flaunts a Michelin-starred Italian restaurant with the unlikely name of The Drawing Room. Helmed by Chef Roland Schuller, The Drawing Room is where you splurge to toast yourself.

‘Girls Night In’ package is seasonal and may change according to high or low season and the latest goings-on in Hong Kong so contact them for the latest.

Just in case you are a Doubting Thomas and have never heard of J Plus, TripAdvisor has just awarded the hotel its prestigious ‘Certificate of Excellence’ 2012. This is only given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding reviews from travellers on the acclaimed and authoritative TripAdvisor website.
