SINCE MY BALCONY IS PURPOSELY NURTURED TO RESEMBLE A MINI TAMAN NEGARA, I HAVE SEEN BIRDS AND SQUIRRELS INSIDE MY ENCLOSED BALCONY.
Cheeky monkey!
This is the first time in my cotton-pickin' life I saw a monkey in my balcony!
I wonder if my neighbours above me saw this monkey as my condo is on the first floor
My entire balcony is enclosed like a cage but certain parts can be opened for trimming when the plants and creepers begin to go berserk.
So small birds and squirrels occasionally find their way into my balcony and even inside my house. I have taken photos of what seems to be a hen-like bird INSIDE my room perching on top of my indoor rockery and squirrels and even the tree shrews.
But never a monkey!
Few days ago, some shampoo bottles atop my bathroom window shelf fell and I thought I saw a squirrel. Later I went into my balcony to hang some laundry and a monkey sitting on top of my cage saw me. Instead of runnning away, it ran towards me!
Indeed it did not seem scared or nervous but more curious so I think it was a pet or tame monkey. It ran all over on top of the grill and even posed for me by climbing the grill wall!
At one stage it jumped up and down on top and did not seem frightened but mildly annoyed. It returned to my bathroom but this time I managed to run in and shout at it to scare it away.
I do not want a monkey inside my condo that was certain! Think of the damage it could do and I wouldn't know how to catch it.
It vanished the next day and I have not seen it so far. Hope it found its owner or returned to the jungle but how did it get into KL Golden Triangle? I know we live in an urban jungle but this is ridiculous!
For once, the monkey was outside the cage and not inside as I was inside!
Lucky it did not find its way inside
