I WAS BOWLED OVER NOT ONLY BY THE TALENT OF THE GRADUATING STUDENTS BUT ALSO THEIR ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS!

Everything was inhouse and not 'imported'! The stage, decor and choreography were executed by Limkokwing students. The models were all students. So were the singers, dancers and entertainers!

After the graduating students' fashion show came the Limkokwing Fashion Club's show and the clothes (which are on sale at all Limkokwing campuses) were designed by the students also!

Talent and brains are a given at Limkokwing Universities!

Student models from 15 countries took to the catwalk at the Creativity in Motion graduate fashion show on Wednesday evening showcasing 53 of their creative and distinctive designs which were the highlights of their end-of-course at the University’s Faculty of Design and Lifestyle Creativity this year.

The designs were inspired by themes ranging from Avante Garde art likened to scenes of nature to traditional Japanese origami designs resembling their sculpting and detailing techniques. Some of the inspirations were derived from Art Textiles from Iran, Topkapi Wall Art, Crystals and jelly fish.

The students came from countries in the region as well as Yemen, Tanzania, Pakistan and China.

More than 250 people, including designers, model agents, partners and sponsors  attended the event. Among them were A . Kohillian Pillay and Nadine Ann Thomas, who was Miss Malaysia Universe 2010 and University  alumni.

Others included fashion designers Calvin Thoo and Nisa Mazbar, Executive Adviser of Tangerine Faris Waris, socialite and freelance Journalist Kee Hua Chee,Hugh Koh of Pestle & Mortar Clothing and sponsors Steve Madden and Mamak Andersen.

Following the graduate show, there was a presentation of 53 garments by 28  students from 15 countries  from the newly-formed Limkokwing Fashion Club.
