‘mini mooncake’ varieties of her famous cakes to celebrate Mid-Autumn
festival.
Available from August 15, exclusively at best-loved cakeshop Ms B's CAKERY, Gough Street, the new taster-sized treats are available in beautifully packaged gift boxes of three and nine, priced HK$165 and HK$495 respectively, and HK$60 for each piece. Ms B's CAKERY is known for their quality & delicious cakes designed by Bonnae Gokson. For the perfect timing of succulent fruits of the season, Ms Gokson interpreted one of the most loved Asian dessert soups 'Yang Tsee Gum Lo' ....Mango, pomelo & coconut flavoured sweet soup and gave it a unique twist of the same flavours with vanilla chiffon and a crispy cookie crusted base....Genious! The taster versions extend across the range of Ms Gokson’s signature cakes, from her beloved Coffee Cheese Cake to her trademark black-and-white “C’est La B”, which is a black chocolate sponge cake with mint mousse and cocoa nibs topped with a dark & white chocolate. Ms B's RAINBOW is gloriously colourful, as the name suggests – pistachio chiffon with fruit salad, fresh cream & “happy” marshmallow. FOOD OF THE GODS glows like an orange, with orange chiffon and lashings of orange curd, choc crisps and fresh cream, topped with citrus jelly & tangerine. BLUE HAWAII has a tropical twist of pineapple and burned butter, with crisps over vanilla chiffon. MANGO BANANA is updated with mango marshmallow. Completing the range are PARADISE, MADAME BUTTERFLY and MELTING MOMENT. The popular Better than Sex, Lady in Red, Sunshine, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with Queen Anne Cherries and fun-loving Lollipop are also available now in taster sizes. Bonnae Gokson has been preparing for this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival with the return of Ms B’s enchanting homemade Mooncakes which are inspired by the traditional celebration of lanterns during Mid-Autumn Festival. The Lantern-inspired mooncakes are vanilla chiffon cakes with golden mousse of mango & coconut and fresh pomelo pearls wrapped with laced fresh cream. They areavailable in gift setsof two and four, priced HK$280 (200g)and HK$520 (200g)respectively, and HK$880 for 500g. Bonnae Gokson comments: “I like to innovate and constantly think of new ways to bring new creations to cake-lovers. Mooncakes are becoming less traditional and more adventurous, so I have developed mini-versions of our cakes to join this trend,” Ms Gokson adds: “I wanted to introduce these cakes on the special date of August 15th to coincide with the Lunar moon festival on the Chinese calendar”. “The tasting-size versions are the perfect bite-size opportunity for individual indulgence!” adds Ms Gokson.
