Winning combination; Angie Kok and Kee Hua Chee and Kronenbourg beer!

But I deserved every single sequin and bead of the award as I spent all of last night sewing the word 'PARIS' as the theme was Parisian Chic and since I didn't have time to make a hat shaped like Eiffel Tower, I decided to hand sew every bead to etch out the word 'PARIS'.

OK so I didn't but I could have done right? So that's what counted!

The Best Dressed Lady was Stefanie Chua who wore a black sort of jumpsuit which was classy and sexy so she deserved to win. I was just sexy as my pants had my underwear painted on it front and back so it appeared as if I was exposing my undies.

The occasion was the opening of 3 boutiques all side by side at Pavilion. Morgan de Toi, Celio and Thierry Mugler are now Pavilion's latest and hottest tenants. It was also in conjunction with Pavilion's week long French Fashion Soiree.

Minister of Tourism Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen officiated the opening of the 3 boutiques on 12 April but I missed that and attended the fashion show a day later on 13 April.

Thomas Teh, me and CS from hotshot PR agency Brandthink. Think of promoting your brand? Think Brandthink!

The opening of Morgan de Toi, Celio and Thierry Mugler was a perfect fit for the French Fashion Week and Kronenbourg could not find a better partner since the three labels and beer are French to the core. Any Frienchier and we would have to fly to Paris.

The lady boss of Morgan de Toi, Celio and Thierry Mugler is Angie Kok whose Le Bon Group owns the franchises of some of France's leading fashion labels like Lanvin, Lancel, Givenchy and Kookai! Now her Madame Q Fashion Group owns the franchise of Morgan de Toi, Celio and Thierry Mugler! Angie Kok is really going places, all the way to la belle France and bringing home some of its most exciting names.

Morgan de Toi is very much like Kookai, Zara and MNG, featuring hot off the catwalk designs at affordable prices. Made for the young and young at heart, Morgan de Toi is ideal for our warm weather and has plenty of separates to mix and match. Owned by Morgan SA of France, it was founded in 1967 by sisters Odette Barouch and Jocelyn Bismuth. Morgan started life as a lingerie brand but has since diversified into every aspect of women's clothing. Morgan sells in 50 countries and has 650 boutiques and 210 concessions in Europe. A major selling point is the fact most of their garments are actually made in France and not in some poor Third World countries!
Then again, its nifty designs sell by themselves. By the way, the First Lady of France Carla Bruni used to model for Morgan! She may still be wearing Morgan on off days though she is mostly seen in Christian Dior.

Celio is France's leading mid-market menswear brand. It is the female version of Morgan and has loads of nicely priced day, casual, sports and evening attire. Founded in 1985 by Marc and Laurent Grosman, Celio has become one of the world's biggest success stories, with over a 1,000 stores in 70 countries and 35 million items sold each year. There are around 500 Celio stores in France alone. All this in a quarter century! What a coincidence Ceilo is founded by 2 brothers and Morgan by 2 sisters! They should have married each other and make fashion history. Personally I think Morgan sounds quite butch while Celio reminds me of cello and music and should have been a woman's brand! Morgan tends to be used for both sexes though it is derived from Morrigan the pagan goddess of war which is a rather unfeminine activity.

Celio is for men, just in case you didn't realise..

Fashionistas have been loving Thierry Mugler for the last 20 years when he hit the bigtime. His garments are designed for the bold, confident woman with deep pockets. As most Malaysian women are loathe to pay RM 12,000 for a jacket, Angie Kok is playing safe by bringing accessories like jewellery, belt, shoe, scarf and bags. Under new designer Nicola Formichetti, the label is now going great guns. In January this year, who should model for Thierry Mugler but Lady Gaga who walked the runway to the beat of songs from her new album Born This Way!

Boss of Carlsberg Malaysia which owns Kronenburg, Soren Ravn went on stage for a quick pep talk as beer and fashion are seldom found in the same sentence. Said Soren Ravn, "When you talk of beer, you think of men watching football in bars and swirling their jugs. Not so with Kronenbourg! Kronenbourg is upmarket, fashionable and chic. It is served in prestige restaurants and hotels and reflect prestige, art and fashion,"

Kronenbourg 1664 was born in that year and is a super premium beer founded by Jerome Hatt. Carlsberg took over Brasseries Kronenbourg in 2008. It is the best selling premium beer in France though I always think it sounds more German than French. You can get Kronenbourg in 70 countries so it is quite exclusive as there are some 198 nations.

Of course we enjoyed free flow all evening and there were two caricaturists to draw cartoons of us gratis.
