Firefly” Campaign

Firefly launched its “Think Rewards, Think Firefly” campaign at its hub in
Skypark Terminal today. This first phase of the campaign, which was designed in
collaboration with McDonald’s, Hertz and Big Apple Donuts & Coffee, is the
airline’s initiative to add better value to its services, hence creating a more
memorable travel experience for its passengers.
The
first phase includes offers of up to 30 percent discount on Hertz’s standard
vehicle rental rates from any of its twelve participating counters in Malaysia , a
McDonald’s Breakfast Meal Special or Big Apple Breakfast & Tea Break
Special at only RM5 from Skypark Terminal, Subang. Passengers can enjoy
these special promotions, when they present their boarding passes at
participating outlets.
Firefly’s
Head of Sales and Customer Experience, Azman Ahmad
said, “This campaign is initiated to reward our customers, whereby we intend to
let our customers know that besides our distinguished premium services and
signature hospitality, we are constantly ready to serve our passengers beyond
regular expectations. We believe that a brand represents the culmination of a
customer's experience and we are passionate about the details in designing
them.”
In
conjunction with the launch this morning, the McDonald’s and Big Apple Donuts
& Coffee teams gave away breakfast treats to the crowd at the airport from
6am. The McDonald’s
Chief Happiness Officer, also popularly known as Ronald Mcdonald was
also present to bring smiles to the children’s faces! Hertz
simultaneously kick-started their promotion by giving away car rental vouchers
to passengers.
CEO/Managing Director of Big Apple Interasia Sdn Bhd, Mike U K Chan, believes that the Big Apple promotions designed for Firefly
provides added value to its passengers, at the same time allowing Big Apple to
tap into the airline’s market segment. He points out that this venture marks a
significant milestone for Big Apple as this comes as an excellent opportunity
to work with the reputable domestic carrier on future promotions, and turn the
outlet at Skypark Terminal 3 into one of the more recognisable features within
that landscape.

Firefly’s hub in Subang while also serving travellers at all major airport
locations within Malaysia .

FIREFLY’s
Background
Firefly, a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, began operations in April 2007.
Currently, it operates a fleet of 12 ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft out of
Penang and Subang, connecting secondary destinations within the
Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle as well as providing air linkages
between Malaysia and Singapore .
