 “Think Rewards, Think Firefly” Campaign
Subang: Firefly launched its “Think Rewards, Think Firefly” campaign at its hub in Skypark Terminal today. This first phase of the campaign, which was designed in collaboration with McDonald’s, Hertz and Big Apple Donuts & Coffee, is the airline’s initiative to add better value to its services, hence creating a more memorable travel experience for its passengers.
The first phase includes offers of up to 30 percent discount on Hertz’s standard vehicle rental rates from any of its twelve participating counters in Malaysia, a McDonald’s Breakfast Meal Special or Big Apple Breakfast & Tea Break Special at only RM5 from Skypark Terminal, Subang. Passengers can enjoy these special promotions, when they present their boarding passes at participating outlets.

Firefly’s Head of Sales and Customer Experience, Azman Ahmad said, “This campaign is initiated to reward our customers, whereby we intend to let our customers know that besides our distinguished premium services and signature hospitality, we are constantly ready to serve our passengers beyond regular expectations. We believe that a brand represents the culmination of a customer's experience and we are passionate about the details in designing them.”

In conjunction with the launch this morning, the McDonald’s and Big Apple Donuts & Coffee teams gave away breakfast treats to the crowd at the airport from 6am. The McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer, also popularly known as Ronald Mcdonald was also present to bring smiles to the children’s faces!  Hertz simultaneously kick-started their promotion by giving away car rental vouchers to passengers.

CEO/Managing Director of Big Apple Interasia Sdn Bhd, Mike U K Chan, believes that the Big Apple promotions designed for Firefly provides added value to its passengers, at the same time allowing Big Apple to tap into the airline’s market segment. He points out that this venture marks a significant milestone for Big Apple as this comes as an excellent opportunity to work with the reputable domestic carrier on future promotions, and turn the outlet at Skypark Terminal 3 into one of the more recognisable features within that landscape.

Melati Abdul Hai, Head of Marketing at McDonald’s Malaysia, said, “McDonald’s is known as the brand leader in providing superior convenience and unbeatable value to consumers. We do this by offering great-tasting food made of quality ingredients, with a fast and friendly service, in a clean and welcoming environment, all at a great value for money. We’re confident that this partnership with Firefly will take flight successfully and we’re pleased with this opportunity to add-value to their passengers’ experience.”

Harun Mohd Joned, General Manager of Hertz added that Hertz is pleased to participate in the "Think Rewards Think Firefly" Campaign, especially seeing that Hertz is also strategically located at Firefly’s hub in Subang while also serving travellers at all major airport locations within Malaysia. Hertz pledges to continue supporting Firefly and looks forward to more exciting partnerships with Firefly in near future.

The six months campaign will be on-going from today to 31 March 2013. For more information, customers can visit fireflyz.com.my/community/rewards.
