Few brands have a longer or more distinguished history than Chivas Brothers.

 The latest addition to the Chivas range, Chivas Regal James and John Special Founders Edition, pays homage to that history while exploring innovations in whisky blending and bottle design. 

Chivas Regal James & John Special Founders Edition continues a century old tradition of blending, collaboration and friendship, and cements the brand's reputation as the pioneering leader in the art of mixing whiskies. In tribute to the brothers' pioneering spirit, Chivas Regal James & John Special Founders Edition also comes in a unique contemporary bottle that's sure to draw admiring glances. Breaking with traditional bottle design, the innovative new packaging recalls the shape of the ancient pot stills in which the whisky was traditionally distilled. Its elegant curves are given an extra avant garde twist with the addition of a rotatable bottom.

The special edition blend that nestles with the bottle brings together the precious and rare stocks of two of the most renowned malt distilleries from the famous Speyside whisky-making region of northern Scotland. One of them, Strathisla, has an even longer history than Chivas Brothers; founded in the 1780s and owned by Chivas since the 1940s, it is the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands still operating today. Combined with spirit from the Longmorn distillery, a favourite among Scotch connoisseurs from the same area of the country, it forms the heart of a uniquely smooth and easy drinking whisky, true to the Chivas style. On the nose, it comes with notes of fruity sweet orange, rich syrupy honey and a hint of traditional spicy cinnamon boiled sweets in the background. The flavour is also fruity with sweet orange and soft, ripe pears, along with a texture of rich, creamy milk chocolate, while the finish is long, lingering and sweet.

Founded by James and John Chivas at the start of the 19^th century as a luxury provisions business, Chivas Brothers has been blending the finest Scotch whiskies since the 1850s. At that time, in response to customer demand, the brothers set out to create a soft, smooth, full-bodied blend from a variety of different single malt whiskies - and a long tradition of whisky blending excellence was born. Chivas Regal was launched to target the burgeoning American market in the early years of the last century, and the rest is history.

This unique, special edition Scotch whisky draws on all of the history of Chivas Brothers to create a dazzling new expression of the art of whisky blending, housed in an innovative bottle that helps it to further stand out from the crowd.
