The world famous Can-Can is best seen at Moulin Rouge where it originated in 1889

No other dance is as merry, marvellously mirthsome and magnificently man-weakening as the French Can-Can. Almost all cabarets worth their name showcase this boisterous dance with the jaw-dropping high kicks, low swivels and skirt lifting to reveal knickers or bloomers as they were then called.

Today, seeing the girls' panties is delightfully juicy shall we say but imagine the reaction of polite society back in those 19th century prudish days (yet not THAT conservative) when ladies were banned from playing tennis and swimming in public.

There was no singing in the dance but plenty of screams, shrieks and shrill shouting that accompanied the catchy, feet-stomping and hand-clapping music. The finale is of course when all the dancers leap into the air and end on the floor with both legs in a straight line...known as the 'split'. Some connoisseurs are convinced this act causes the dear ladies to scream, the same way an ostrich is said to squawk loudly when it hatches the world's biggest egg.

Wouldn't you exercise your vocal chords too if your ass-hole has to expand to release an egg the size of a football and weighing 2 kg? Ya, now imagine the girls leaping and landing with 2 legs on the horizontal on a hard, cold, unforgiving floor.

All these started on 6 October 1889 when Moulin Rouge opened its doors and welcoming, for the very first time in history, half a dozen young girls performing shocking movements that had never been seen before in public on the stage.

Unlike today which features male dancers including 2 contortionists, the original batch were female amateurs who worked as washerwomen, laundresses, linen maids, seamstresses or other lowly jobs who transformed into sexy Can-Can dancers at night!

Needless to say, the dance was an instant hit and why not? Anu dance that features young females lifting up their frilly, flouncy and flirty skirts to show their panties is guaranteed to be a success regardless of name and music.

Who created the dance and music are subject to debate and the dance was not even called Can-Can but a Quadrille. With a name like Quadrille dance, no wonder everyone prefers the other option!

The rich, middle class and those who could afford it fought for tickets. It attracted politicians, merchants, writers, artists (think Henri Toulouse-Lautrec) and everyone from all walks of life. In other words, from princes to paupers!

Of course it needed an English writer (sounds familiar aka 'World of Suzy Wong'?) who introduced the Quadrille across the English Channel. Charles Morton, enthralled to his bone marrow, called it the 'French Can-Can', a funny little dance that made a lot of noise and came from France!

The fact the dancers were not princesses or titled ladies added to the allure. Appearing and performing on stage was tantamount to prostituting yourself, let alone dancing the Can-Can. Mind you, it can be safely assumed most 19th century Can-Can dancers were not averse to monetary propositions that included private performances of the splits in bed.

The Can-Can is just the icing on the cake as a night at Moulin Rouge ('Red Windmill' as proven by the famous red windmill on the facade)includes sensational set changes that feature a 40-ton aquarium with 5 live pythons swimming with a near naked girl and 6 miniature, live horses which are the cutest in the world.

Oh and the topless dancers with bodies better than your gf and hunky men again with torsoes sexier than your bf. The girls' nipples are always pert and taut which impress me so much I asked one of them how this is so. She purred, "We rub ice on our tits seconds before we go on stage." There, now you can tell Wifey or Mistressy or GF to do same before she jumps into bed with you.

Staring at topless girls with bare breasts and flawless figures was enough to make horny men masturbate secretly as they watched the show. I noticed a few men pressed against the table with hands over their pants. I bet it is so, er, juicy, to cum inside your pants and underwear live as you drool at the scantily clad dancers! Me, I sat decorously with my legs crossed over each other as I am always well behaved in public in case I decide to enter politics later.

I was particularly bowled over by 2 non-sexual acts. One has 2 men, 1 almost half the size of the other and they perform the most astounding balancing acts that is entirely based on skills, muscles and perfect equilibrium with no sexual connotations though I guess flaming faggots would be turned on as their sculptured bodies are perfection itself. Their bodies need be in this condition to do their incredible balancing acts that seem to defy physical possibilities. I can barely do a push-up let alone hold on to a guy and stretch my legs so they become horizontal and parallel to the floor while suspended in midair.

You have to see to believe.

The other non-bare boob act consists of a male and female skaters who perform death-defying acts of swinging the girl whose face and body are dangerously near the floor. Speaking of which, they skate on a round base the size of an average dining table! One slip and it's curtains.

The price of 105 euros is worth it just to watch these 2 acts so the boobs and nipples can be considered bonuses!

The Pirates is a snaky dance based in Indonesia as stated in the official magazine and I wonder why Indonesia is mentioned and not Malaysia!

The feathers were wrapped and cocooned the girls when they first appeared before falling off to morph into skirts.
