MR
UBERMEN 2012 GRAND FINALE
The Top 20 Finalists blessed with reasonably good
looks, outstanding personality and admirable dressing style, with an
attitude to boot, produced a winner who took home the coveted title of Mr
Ubermen 2012.
Held for the second time, Mr
Ubermen 2012 finalists took home a total of almost RM50,000 in cash and
prizes, while the titleholder will represent the brand for
certain major promotional activities, be a public figure in social media to
promote the brand, get involved in brand community outreach projects, and be part of other related exciting activities. Apart from cash and prizes, Mr
Ubermen 2012 will be featured in men’s leading magazines such as FHM and
Maskulin.
“The Mr Ubermen Search has changed my
life as I am more confident, yet bold, and able to surpass any challenges &
obstacles in life,” said Leon Long who took home the very first Mr Ubermen 2011
title during the finale at Zouk last year.
Twenty-one year old Leon was one of
the most outstanding participants during the Search last year. He was just
trying his luck then, but his looks, potential and positive personality had
driven him far beyond his expectations.
After winning the title, he continued his studies in Fashion Marketing
Management even as his part-time modelling stints increased and he was featured in a number of shows
such as “The Visa Hong Kong Super Shopper 2011” on NTV7’s Bella & Take Me,
another NTV 7 programme, among others. But his stints in the entertainment
industry have not waned and he is still looking out for opportunities that will
enhance his career and personal development.
“The finale required us to portray our
talents and this was something I was not used to. However, as I was the
president of the drama club in school, it helped me when I chose to perform an
act during the finals. Nevertheless, it has truly been an exciting and great
experience throughout competition,” he said with a grin.
As one of the nation’s leading men’s
grooming brands, UBERMEN offers an affordable range of quality personal care
products for the man who lives an active lifestyle and is conscious about his
looks. More importantly, the brand personifies a brazen attitude that adds a
touch of naughty to the nice, a spot of rough to the smooth. Like a good boy
with a cheeky trait, using UBERMEN creates an aura of wicked magnetism that is
distinctively male– an irresistibility that naturally attracts women. The
brand has a wide range of men’s grooming products from hairstyling products to skincare,
body care and fragrances that can help men to bring out their irresistible side.
Apart from that, UBERMEN’s “Pozess Power
Advanced Body Spray” has recently been selected as CLEO’s Guys Stuff Awards
winner in the Best Deodorant Spray category 2012.
“The Mr Ubermen Search is a platform
for those who wish to be an icon to inspire the younger generation and those
aspiring to be a trendsetter in men’s products,” said Crystal Sio, Brand
Manager for Ubermen.
“In addition, we are planning a series
of programmes in 2013 to ensure that the titleholder will be given equal
billing with other product ambassadors and this should propel his career further,” added Crystal about the
Search, which has the support of Zouk KL, SNIPS, Suria FM, Koz Serani and other partners.
