DAPHNE GUINNESS TO SELL RM 500,000 OF HER CLOTHES FOR ISABELLA BLOW FOUNDATION

Catalogue_Cover.JPG

DAPHNE GUINNESS IS YOUNG, BEAUTIFUL, SEXY AND MOST IMPORTANT, RICH. WITH A NAME LIKE GUINNESS OF COURSE SHE IS RELATED TO THE DRINK MANUFACTURER WHICH MAY EXPLAIN WHERE SHE GETS HER DOUGH FROM.

Anyway,, Daphne Guinness is a good friend of the late Isabella Blow who committed suicide and also a good friend of Alexander McQueen who committed suicide. Maybe the more superstitious may think twice of being her good friend but this unfair and superstitiously silly!

Anyway,, Daphne Guinness is auctioning her old (so to speak) clothes to raise hopefully at least half a million ringgit for Isabella Blow Foundation so if you  happen to be in London on 27 June 2012, be sure to drop at Christies South Kensington to snap up some couture at great prices!

QUOTES FROM DAPHNE
About The Isabella Blow Foundation
“Issie will assume and occupy her true place in the constellation of fashion stars”

About the sale
“It gives me enormous satisfaction that, almost two years to the day – my seemingly impetuous decision to purchase the entirety of Isabella’s collection, is now clearly going to set a few injustices to rights.”

“The sale was the only practical way for me to say thank you to my friend who I carry in my soul.”
About Isabella Blow
“She meant so very much to me”

NOTES FROM FRIENDS

Gareth Pugh:
“Wishing you all the luck in the world! There could be no better way to honour Isabella’s memory, and no better person to keep it safe.”

Nick Knight:
“You are forever riding in and saving the day! Isabella would have been so very touched by your determination and your kindness.”

Amanda Harlech:
“You have always been a light struck in the dark for the lost and the unloved.”

Noritaka Tatehana:
“She {Daphne} is one of the most irreplaceable and precious person in my life now…I sincerely hope for success of the auction and the continued success of the foundation as well.”

Shaun Leane:
“By founding this charity in Issie’s memory you are ensuring a bright future for the creative industry’s most exciting young talents. Your decision to support this vital cause in such a personal way by means of this auction is the marker of a true friend and visionary. Our beloved Issie would be so proud.”

Meredith Etherington-Smith:
“Not only is Daphne Guinness a sensitive, original and perceptive interpreter of fashion, she is also extremely generous. Not only content with saving the Isabella Blow wardrobe archive to keep it together for study, she is now selling her own careful selection from her deeply treasured wardrobe to fund student bursaries in the name of her fellow-muse.”
