Happy
Birthday Princess Dr Becky Leogardo! Here she wears couture gown by Bill
Keith, STYLO's Designer of the Year
LAST
MONTH ON 20 MAY 2012 PRINCESS DR BECKY LEOGARDO, THE HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTEST,
THREW HER BIRTHDAY PARTY AT SHANGRILA BALLROOM.
THE
COLOUR GREEN DOMINATED AS 'A TOUCH OF GREEN' WAS THE DRESS CODE AND ALMOST ALL
CAME IN SHADES OF GREEN. THE 16 BEST DRESSED WOMEN AND 8 BEST DRESSED MEN
EXEMPLIFIED THIS REQUEST MOST SPLENDIDLY.
Around
250 fortunate guests were treated to a lavish feast and unique performances
money could not buy, since the performers were the entertainers! The only
'outsider' performers were the husband and wife duo who provided life music and
songs during the interludes!
Personal
friends and relatives went on stage to say what they think of the birthday girl,
starting with Rosemarie Wee, area public relations director of Shangri-La, Ruth
Lira (Princess Becky's youngest sister), Bridget (Ruth's daughter), Dr Chit
(Princess Becky's elder sister), Roy Leogardo (son of Princess Becky) and Dato
Nancy Yeoh who stole the show with her sharp, incisive and witty resume of
Princess Becky.
Dato
Nancy Yeoh's opening remarks of 'Becky is not a princess' stunned everyone and
they all looked at Princess Becky sitting smiling at her table but Dato Nancy
went on to 'demystify' the wild rumours that had been floating around on and
off for years. Dato Nancy Yeoh said Princess Becky 'earned her title' by being
so generous and donating so much to charity. Indeed she has given nearly RM 4
million to charities in Malaysia and elsewhere since she arrived 18 years ago.
Together
with her VIP guests that included many ambassadors, Princess Dr Becky Leogardo
made a grand entrance of epic proportions as she was carried into Shangri-La
ballroom on a throne carried by 4 bulky men carrying bamboo poles.
The
ambassadors and VIPs led the procession and Princess Dr Becky Leogardo was
accompanied by husband Michael Mantz, her family and designer Michael Ong. And
of course me, myself and I. I was the emcee of the evening and stood right behind
her as we entered so sadly my face did not appear in the photos as my gorgeous
face was totally blocked by everyone else! But I am not the sort who craved for
the limelight since I have enough exposure as I own this blog OK!
Everyone
gasped in delight and amazement and clapped madly as Princess Dr Becky Leogardo
was carried into the ballroom like Cleopatra was carried into the barge and
later bedroom to meet Mark Antony!
She
changed her jewels and couture gowns 5 times. Yes I said 5 times. This was to
please all her favourite designers Michael Ong, Keith Kee, Carven Ong and Bill
Keith. The sharp eyed reader may realise I mentioned only 4 designers but this
is because Michael Ong insisted on Princess Dr Becky wearing his gowns for the
opening and closing of the gala!
Princess
Dr Becky's tiara was unchanged as this was her only tiara with large emeralds
as the theme and dress code was 'Touch of Green'. The tiara was from Dato Tracy
Ong of Elegance Club and so were her jade and emerald necklace while other
bling were from Mondial, David Webb, Royal Stones and Christie's.
Princess
Dr Becky Leogardo is famous for her door gifts and lucky draws and her birthday
party was no exception. Every guest was given a goodie bag worth RM 250 and
almost all won a lucky draw! So all guests went home with valuable
presents!
Princess Dr
Becky Leogardo stunned her guests as she was carried into Shangri-La ballroom
on a throne carried by 4 men using decorated poles. The ambassadors and VIPs
lead the procession followed by her sisters Ruth and Dr Chit and sons Roy,
Daniel, Raphael and daughter Gloria and designer Michael Ong in black and white
despite the 'Touch of Green' theme
Royal
Wave; Princess Dr Becky Leogardo giving a right royal wave to her cheering
guests and family as she was carried inside Shangri-La ballroom on a throne
carried by 4 hunks. This is the way to make a grand entrance of epic
proportions!
The
elaborate umbrella was handmade by Michael Ong for Princess Dr Becky Leogardo
and Princess Dr Becky Leogardo's grand entrance remains the talk of KL high
society and rightly so! Who else could carry this through but Princess Becky!
Next year she will enter the ballroom on a white stallion and I mean a horse
and not Michael Mantz!
Ravishing
beauty Zahidah Rafik looked stunningly beautiful though she did not wear a tiara as
she told me she was maintaining a low profile as she was involved in a court
case over the scandal involving a Minister and her chauffeur who supposedly
absconded with RM 200,000.
Zahidah Rafik
only came because she admired Princess Becky and is a friend as these days she
told me she preferred to stay at home and keep a low profile. Here she is with
top couturier Michael Ong
Zahidah
Rafik's derriere may be modestly wrapped up but she still looked a billion
bucks with her sex appeal, flawless complexion and smooth skin. Yes I can vouch
as I actually touched her hand and thigh just to prove the efficacy of BML
Gluta skincare. Discreetly and quickly of course with no ulterior motive as I
am a very religious, pious, conservative and virginal person
Miss
Tourism International 2012 Gabriella Robinson wears the crown she won on 31
December 2011 at the stroke of midnight at Sunway Resort, Spa and Hotel
Chloe Chen, Miss Malaysia World, wears her crown studded with green gems. What a coincidence as he party's dress code was 'Touch of Green'!
Nancie Foo is one of my idols though she is Miss Malaysia 1979! But she looks like 25. Must be due to BML Gluta Series!
And her body is slim and sexy and even better than Wong Ai Vee her darling teenage daughter!

Dedione Kee could not attend but he wishes Princess Dr Becky Leogardo 'Happy Birthday' too!
