THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AKA RAMIN KARIMLOO (FANCY HAVING A TOILET AS PART OF YOUR NAME, SO COOL) TOOK KL BY STORM WHEN HE PERFORMED FOR 2 NIGHTS AT JW MARRIOTT GRAND BALLROOM ON 21 AND 22 JUNE 2012.
PRODUCED by the ever effervescent Datin Seri Tiara Jacquelina Datuk Seri Effendi, 'An Evening with the Phantom' was a sensational success. I drank at least half a dozen flutes of champagne as fine food, divine wine and amorous atmosphere set the tone for a superb evening.
The grand chandelier that hung over the catwalk and was the centre of non-human attention was sponsored by Seng Hup.
Those who missed this should kick themselves and I volunteer. Anyway, Datin Seri Tiara will be presenting An Evening of British Comedy this November (date not confirmed yet) so contact them at production@enfiniti.com.my to keep you in the loop.
Datin Tiara Jacquelina with handsome young son Dani
Like mother, like son!
The opening number 'Masquerade'
'Masquerade' in action
Ramin Karimloo singing 'Some Enchanted Evening'
Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai in foreground and Ramin Karimloo in background
Ramin Karimloo singing'The Impossible Dream'
The chandelier was sponsored by Seng Hup and did not cash as happened in the actual musical which was a disappoint
Grand stage and set
Singing the blues
Annalisa Kerringan and Ramin Karimloo duetting "All I Ask of You"
Sexy back there, Annalisa
Feathered fairlady
Annalisa Kerringan is half Irish and half Malaysian Chinese! No wonder she is so beautiful though short
Golden hued room
Only my Leica can do this!
Datin Seri and Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai enjoying Annalisa Kerrigan's singing
A remarkable singer!
The artful changing of colours kept transforming the room's ambiance
Ramin Karimloo and Annalisa Kerringan singing 'Phantom of the Opera'
Emerald exoticism
A crescendo is reached as Act 1 finishes and we were allowed to go to the loo, not Karimloo
As I emerged from Karimloo, I mean the loo, I met these 3 pretty dancers
Oh so pretty, and witty and flirty...
Kee Hua Chee joins the club
Dramatic sequence
We were all pleasantly surprised when Ramin started playing the banjo and someone must tell Datin Tiara that dead dried dreary sticks do no good and only block the view
Good golly molly, this Canadian-Iranian is just a country boy at heart
Ramin sang Oh What A Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma with his trusty banjo
Ravishing Ramin
Ramin Karimloo is a superb singer and his album has just ben released by Sony Malaysia so go buy one CD
Anna lisa Kerringan and Ramin Karimloo singing Somewhere
Such passion
Such delivery
Magnificent!
Grand finale---notice the irritating dead dried dreary sticks
The dancers appear
Annalisa waits for the hero
The man of the hour appears
If we had scissosr we would all go prune the dratted sticks
See what I mean?
A dead rose on a dead stick makes matters worse. Better buy a potted plant
Passion play
Annalisa taking to the catwalk
Ramin joins Annalisa
Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai joins hands with Datin Seri Florence
Emotions reign supreme
Many fans had strained necks the next morning
As Rolls-Royce was a sponsor, we can infer Datin Seri Tiara has one too
A well deserved standing ovation
Marcia Yim and lover Julius Lim

Notice Kee Hua Chee's crocodile skull bag. He could not find a monkey which appeared in the musical so a croc should do
Everyone agreed Kee Hua Chee's bling outshone Winnie Loo's
THE END
