Offering More Access to Unforgettable Food & Wine Experiences

Margaret River Gourmet Escape, presented by Siemens Home Appliances, is pleased to announce exciting additional events to its already jam packed program.

Due to the overwhelming response and public support for this year’s festival, these new satellite events will ensure more people can enjoy some truly unique experiences in one of the world’s most exceptional food and wine regions. Whether it be kicking off the day with the sand between your toes and the Indian Ocean as your morning view enjoying a gourmet beach brunch or sipping award winning wines and tasting canapés at a sundowner soiree at an exclusive winery, these events will showcase the best of Margaret River, its incredible produce, world class wine and beautiful scenery and give visitors more opportunities to get up close with the lauded line up of chefs and wine talent over the three days.

Friday Sundown Soiree at Fraser Gallop Estate
The ideal way to start your gourmet weekend is at the stunning private Fraser Gallop Estate. This sundowner soiree will see you enjoying award winning wines by the exclusive Fraser Gallop Winery and canapés by Hadleigh Troy of Restaurant Amusé whilst soaking up the beautiful scenery and rubbing shoulders with a special pop in by Heston Blumenthal.

The Collaboration Series, Xanadu
The third announcement in the Collaboration Series is an exclusive Friday dinner at Xanadu Winery. The menu will see a collaboration between the esteemed Mark Best (3 hatted Sydney restaurant Marque and Pie Modern Melbourne), French chef Julien Royer voted as 2013 “the one to watch” in the Acqua Panna San Pellegrino Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards (JAAN, Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore) and Melissa Kokoti and her team at Xanadu. The menu matched with outstanding Xanadu and other wines from the region will ensure a truly extraordinary dining experience.

Masters, Michelin & Magnums Dinner at Howard Park Estate
Burch Family Wines is offering a luxurious wine and food affair with an exclusive “Masters, Michelin & Magnums” dinner. Michelin-star chef, Alain Fabrègues will craft a classic French menu around original recipes from his work with various masters of French cuisine, including Jean Delaveyne. Fabrègues has become renowned for his acclaimed WA restaurants, The Loose Box and Bistro Des Artistes and in 1991, he became the holder of the prestigious ‘Meiller Ouvrier De France’, the highest honour attainable for any craftsman. Guests will enjoy iconic new-release wines from Howard Park and Marchand & Burch to be poured from magnums to complement each of Fabrègues flights and will hear from the esteemed Singaporean-based wine luminary, Lisa Perrotti-Brown Master of Wine. With only 40 seats available, tickets for this enviable event will not last.

Gourmet Beach BBQ Sunday Brunch by Lamont’s and Extra Tickets for other Beach BBQ Sessions Available

A Decadent Lunch Celebration at Cullen Wines
To celebrate the life of its founder Dr Kevin John Cullen, Cullen Wines will treat guests to an elaborate lunch with executive chef Dave Hull creating a menu using biodynamic produce from the winery’s gardens and the rare opportunity to sample biodynamic wines and international world class wines including a magnum of Bordeaux valued over $30,000.  Special guest is Singapore based wine writer Ch’ng Poh Tiong.
This event is strictly limited to 30 guests.

An evening of wine poems, short stories and even some wine songs.

Voyager Estate Discovery Dinner
Wine is a voyage – of exploration, discovery and enjoyment. This voyage is often most enjoyed when accompanied by wonderful food. Voyager Estate’s Executive Chef, Nigel Harvey and Manager of Viticulture and Winemaking, Steve James, will present the Estate’s new Discovery Menu, taking guests on a sensory journey that tells the story of their wines from vineyard to glass. Nigel and his team will draw inspiration from Voyager Estate’s elegant, site-specific wines and will create dishes to perfectly complement them.
