IF YOU EVER TRY IMAGINING HOW HEAVEN LOOKS LIKE, IT SHOULD BE VERY SIMILAR TO WESTERN AUSTRALIA'S OUTBACK WHEN THE WILDFLOWERS ARE IN FULL BLOOM!
The wildflower season is now on from June to November so now is the best time to visit Western Australia since the flowers are bursting with colour. This is the peak season as June was rather early and November is when they begin to die off and be dormant till 2014!
First timers are convinced the flowers in spectacular colours carpeting acres of land are fake and made of silk imported from China just to impress impressionable, innocent tourists but I assure you on my imperial ancestors' souls in Forbidden City these wildflowers are real.
Well, you cannot prove it as you are forbidden to pick them but you can check the stems, leaves and stalks and see they are actually growing in the earth.
See, heaven on earth!
OK so these are not real flowers but real people dressed as blooms
WESTERN AUSTRALIA BURSTS INTO WILDFLOWER SEASON FROM NOW TILL NOVEMBER!
From June to November, the State of Western Australia
bursts into a kaleidoscope of wildflowers. Ranked as one of WA’s most precious
and beloved natural assets, the State enjoys a season that starts in the North
West before sweeping south with carpets of colour lighting-up its beautifully
rugged landscapes to the South West.
WA is home to a massive 12,000 wildflower species, more
than the rest of Australia combined. 60 per cent of WA’s wildflower species are
found nowhere else in the world.
North of Perth along the Coral Coast, Kalbarri National
Park comes alive in August, while inland, the rare and revered wreath flower
(Leschenaultia Macrantha) can be found at Paynes Find. Mullewa is another
blossoming town, with hake, heath brush and spider orchids creating a sea of
colour, and a short drive away the Coalseam Conservation Park becomes carpeted
with a stunning display of pink, gold, cream and white everlastings.
The South of the State hosts a magnificent floral display
from September, with areas such as Esperance, Pemberton, Denmark, Northcliffe,
Albany, Margaret River and the Porongurup Ranges springing to life with rare
and exquisite flora.
