MUSEE D'ORSAY IS WORLD'S BEST MUSEUM FOR 19TH AND 20TH CENTURY WORKS OF ART

KEE@FSWMAG.COM
AFTER NOTRE DAME AND CROSSING THE BRIDGE OF LOVE AKA PONT DES ARTS OR ARTS BRIDGE, I STROLLED TO MUSEE D'ORSAY THE WORLD'S FINEST FINE ARTS MUSEUM DEVOTED TO WORKS FROM THE 19TH TO 20TH CENTURIES!

The queue took me 10 minutes and entry was RM 38 and worth every single sen! I entered around 3.45 pm and did not have enough time to see everything but I managed to admire and gawk and sneakily take photos of some masterpieces as photography is now banned whereas one could photograph with impunity years back!

You need 4 hours minimum and you MUST climb to the 5th floor for a bird's eye view of Left Bank and also view some of the most important and famous 19th century Impressionist paintings. Then take the escalator (there is an escalator for descending but not ascending!) to the 2nd floor to see Van Gogh's 'Starry Night'! It is not as big as I thought but the effect was shattering!
