Host with most Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr Jason Goh hosted a lavish Chinese New Year dinner in honour of Her Majesty the Queen of Malaysia, KeBawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Sultanah Haminah Hamidun.
Held on the 7th floor of KL Sentral Kuala Lumpur hotel, it was a grand finale to the Chinese New Year of the Horse festivities which ended on 14 February and last night's party was 21 February.
As usual, Her Majesty the Queen of Malaysia wore red as it is the auspicious colour of Chinese New Year and almost all guests arrived in red although I decided to stand out in black and white suit by Mental Suits of Holland.
The party was a double celebration as Tan Sri Jason Goh's mother was conferred a Datukship by His Majesty the King of Malaysia DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong 2 weeks ago. The congratulatory advertisements appeared in the dailies yesterday on 21 February on the same day as the dinner. The award Pangkuan Mahkota Wilayah (PMW) carries the title 'Datuk'.
His Majesty the King of Malaysia was unable to attend Tan Sri Jason Goh's Chinese New Year but Her Majesty the Queen arrived and was greeted by Tan Sri Jason Goh. Her Majesty again congratulated Datuk Pang Kan Ti which is the maiden name of Tan Sri Jason Goh's mother. His father has passed away.
Actually it was a triple celebration as Tan Sri Jason's sister Irene Goh Lay Hoon (PJK) was also awarded the KMW (Kesatria Mangku Wilayah) at the same occasion.
Both awards were conferred on Tan Sri Jason Goh's mother and sister by His Majesty the King of Malaysia Tuanku Halim Shah Sultan Badlishah.
Congratulations to Tan Sri Jason Goh, his mother Datuk Pang Kan Ti and sister Irene Goh Lay Hoon!
