Adorable C'est La B cafés in Pacific Place and Harbour City are celebrating Valentine’s Day with a seductive set dinner as bespoke sister cake shop Ms B’s CAKERY bewitches sweethearts with romantic cakes and delightful sweet treats.

C'est La B’s 3-course menu on the most romantic day of the year is in the characteristically whimsical style of celebrity founder Bonnae Gokson, priced at HK$320 per person, or HK$520 with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne.

Loving couples are welcomed with an appetizer choice of decadent Foie Gras Pate with Figs on toast or sultry Cream of Clam Chowder. Main course is succulent Roasted Spring Hen with truffle Paris mash & sautéed greens or Spaghettini with Red Mullet in tomato sauce, served with olives and sun dried tomatoes.

Dessert is comforting Pancake Pudding Roll with vanilla sauce & berries, with coffee or tea.

Signature Valentine’s Day cakes and tantalising delights are meanwhile available at Ms B’s CAKERY in Gough Street, Central, all C’est La B from 6 to 14 February – as well as a temporary Festive Kiosk beside Pacific Place’s 2/F Concierge.

This year’s headliners are a romantic pink vanilla chiffon cake, “Butterfly Flutter”, which layered with strawberries & fresh strawberry cream, with the handwritten love message “YOU GIVE ME BUTTERFLIES…” (darling size HK$720) and a good ol' fashioned heart-shaped chocolate cake smothered in luscious chocolate fudge – designed in a ‘ pop art’ style tribute to the Beatles and Swinging Sixties inscribed “All U Need Is LOVE” (500g HK$880).

Ms B’s 2014 signature Valentine’s Day cakes are assured to melt hearts and win marriage proposals – adorned with candied diamonds resembling engagement rings!

Sparkling, diamond-dotted ‘Champagne, Chocolate & Diamonds’ of Dom Pérignon Rosé Champagne jelly layered with white chocolate mousse and French vanilla chiffon sponge are priced at HK$1,200 (500g) and HK$1,800 (1,000g).

Taster-sized versions called “Pink Diamond Hearts” are in gift boxes of three, priced at HK$450.

Alternatively, a light-hearted delight for sweethearts, handmade in Australia and amusingly gift-packed in a genuine pizza box, is a selection of milk / dark chocolate hearts and jelly gummies ‘pizzas’, priced at HK$520.

C'est La B and Ms B’s CAKERY continue the relaxed, whimsical philosophy of Ms Gokson inspired by Hong Kong’s diverse cosmopolitan culture at her fashionable penthouse restaurant SEVVA atop Prince’s Building in Central. “Our cheerful concept embraces fun, colour, humour and life,” she says.
