Thailand opened its doors to this world this month for the start of the annual Amazing Thailand Grand Sale. This three-month shopping extravaganza lasts from 15 June to 30 September, 2014, and will see over 15,000 establishments in seven of Thailand’s most important tourism cities taking part.

Shoppers will be able to find amazing bargains and enjoy great discounts on a huge range of goods. The Grand Sale is aimed at boosting tourism and visitor expenditure while enhancing the image of Thailand as a major shopping destination.

This year’s opening ceremony took place at the Fashion Hall, 1st Floor, Siam Paragon, Bangkok and people from around the world stopped by to enjoy the fun.

Local celebrities and famous faces joined the fun in a fashion show which enthralled and entertained crowds at Siam Paragon.

While international goods are big sellers in the Thailand Grand Sale, fashions and products with a Thai theme or locally designed are always popular.

Shoppers coming to the sale will be welcomed at over 15,000 shops, stalls and boutiques nationwide.

The clothes on the catwalk at the opening ceremony showcased the work all local and international designers.

Over the years, the Thailand Grand Sale has given a boost, not only to local shops, but also to Thai designers and manufacturers.

The local and international media flocked to the opening event of the Grand Sale, which is now a much-anticipated event in the region.

The Thailand Grand Sale success stems from close collaborations between TAT, retail outlets, tourist operators and all concerned public and private organisations.
