Firefly Introduces Extra Flights During Hari Raya Holidays
This year, with EID holiday expected to fall on 8 August 2013 resulting in a four day weekend, Firefly will increase flights to Kota Bharu, Pekanbaru, Koh Samui, and Penang from its central hub Subang. From its Northern hub of Penang, the airline will also add flights to Phuket. As for its Southern hub, Johor Bahru, Firefly will introduce direct flights to Penang.
These additional flights will be added for travel from 2 August up to 17 August and are already made available in our system for purchase now.
According to Ignatius Ong, Firefly’s Chief Executive Officer, “The demand for flights on these routes during the Raya period has been high historically, and this year is no exception. In fact with the longer weekend which coincides with the school holidays, we are expecting demand to be even more than that of last year EID festive break. With the above said, additional flights will be available from our website and I urge everyone to quickly make their respective purchases soonest as we foresee the tickets being snapped up at a very fast pace.”
Ong further adds, “Air travel with Firefly is faster, safer, more convenient, more comfortable than driving and more value as our flight and operations crew are ready to get everyone where they need to be efficiently, promptly and conveniently. What’s more, with Firefly, all passengers enjoy 20kg of checked baggage allowance, in-flight refreshment for free as well as the opportunity to accrue and redeem Enrich points.”
Starting from 1 June to 31 July 2013 Firefly customers will earn 2 x Enrich Miles every time they purchase Firefly tickets.
