LG LAUNCHED ITS NEW, MIND-BOGGLING, MIND-NUMBING AND MIND-MELTING NEW 84-INCH UTRA HD TV EARLY JUNE AT THE CURVE KUALA LUMPUR.
Buy it for RM 70,000 at Harvey Norman!

LG originally stood for Lucky Goldstar but as this South Korean firm grew bigger, it realised 'Lucky Goldstar' was too much of a mouthful and as most consumers were automatically calling it by its initials LG, it grabbed the golden opportunity to be officially listed as LG!
Now LG is known to millions as 'Life's Good'---short, simple and stunningly effective. With an LG consumer electronic product, life IS good!
Now LG has introduced the revolutionary 84-inch Ulrea HD TV---the world's first with 8.3 million pixels which is 4 times higher than a normal Full HD TV!
Its 84-inch monster screen is equivalent to FOUR 42-inch TV screens.
I almost fainted when I saw how vivid and crystal clear the images were!
With with the boxes ticked, I was naturally hard pressed to find any fault as even the RM 70,000 price tag is considered OK as it will last you at least 10 years so it is only RM 7,000 a year.
Finally I conclude the only minor snag is the reflective screen but this only comes into the fore when the windows are open or confronted with direct sunlight. Under normal conditions with the usual room lights on, the glare is not visible.
LG's new 84-inch Ultra HD TV it is perfection personified!
The 3D glasses are also the best as they don't need batteries! I hate the so-called hi-tech glasses that require batteries which means extra costs and worse, running out of battery power when you wish to watch TV at 3 am! And the nearest 7-Eleven is 5 miles away!
Speaking of fainting, I almost fainted when I phoned several stores to check the price. I did not faint from the price itself but from uniformly LOUSY service from wellknown electronic chains!
Like everyone else who is not Bill Gates, I wanted to compare prices. Only ONE chain provided normal service---Harvey Norman!
I phoned Courts Sentul and Courts Cheras, Tesco Extra Selayang, Tesco the Scott Garden and Tesco Ampang. Almost all could not speak English which is fine as my Bahasa is good.
However, each time they passed my call to Electronics Dept, the line usually got disconnected or no one answered.
One person said she would call me back but never did.
The person at Giant Pandan Kapital gave the most shocking answer; he asked if I wanted the price of a LG 42-inch TV. I repeated I wanted the 84-inch TV.
He actually laughed and said, "84-inchi? Mana ada 84-inchi? Hanya 42-inchi la". (84-inch? Where got 84-inch TV? Only have 42-inch la).
He did not even know of the existence of the new 84-inch TV!
AEON Taman Maluri has a 1-300 number that kept me on hold for ages but kept apologising for the delay which did not appease me a bit. In the end I gave up.
The ONLY chain that actually gave a coherent answer was Harvey Norman at Pavilion!
The guy actually gave what information I wanted!
He said, "It costs RM 69,999 or RM 70,000. It comes with a free 55-inch Tv worth RM 7,000 and home theatre sound system worth RM 2,700."
When I asked if I could get a discount of RM 7,000 if I did not want the free 55-inch TV, he said, "Sure, I will ask the floor manager but should be no problem. This is a best-buy package by LG."
Bravo Harvey Norman for giving great sevice for such a simple request!
I am asking LG to give exclusive rights to Harvey Norman to sell their TVs! The other chains need to train their staff! All I did was ask the prices! Not technical, scientific details or the names of LG board of directors!
