I AM A HUGE ADMIRER OF SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSWOMEN AND FEW COME MORE SPECTACULARLY SUCCESSFUL THAN THE TALL, CLASSY AND DARE I SAY IT, SEXY KIM SUNG JOO OF SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA!

Sung Joo owns MCM---that's Michael Cromer Munich---which was once a sizzling hot brand in the early Nineties but cooled down considerably by the dawn of the new millennium. So Kim Sung Joo bought it and has injected life, vigour and zest into this German brand that was once in the big league.

Now it is slowly regaining lost ground and judging by its latest apparel, bags, shoes and accessories for women and men, MCM is all set to be the Next Big Thing!

I was very impressed by MCM's new direction that is bound to be a surefire hit among the subtle elite. Luxurious fabrics expertly cut and colour play that works seamlessly with today's
sensibilities mean one can build a MCM wardrobe with the greatest of ease and create ravishing, individual looks by adding new pieces over the years or matching with existing ones.

Dato Rosemarie Wee, a fashion icon known for unerring good taste and effortless style, raved over her latest acquisition of a MCM bag. She said, "I bought one at the MCM pop-up store in the ballroom foyer and I can see myself as a MCM fan!"

So if Dato Rosemarie Wee has given her seal of approval to the new-look and au courant MCM, then all is plain sailing!

I met Kim Sung Joo last year at the 25th anniversary party of Parkson department store and so when Dato Rosemarie Wee, Regional PR director of Shangri-La invited me to the MCM fashion show at Lobby Lounge, I dropped everything and arrived dressed to kill with killer heels to impress and amuse Kim Sung
Joo.

Kim Sung Joo kissed me on both cheeks and marvelled at the reversal of role---I was wearing high heels and she was in flats! She was in sober but striking black and white pant suit while I was glowing in mellow yellow loaded with jewels that eclipsed any worn by the 800 delegates!

The talk of town?

MCM's delightfully pink shopper bag that is part of the goodies of the 2013 Global Summit of Women! It only cost US$10 with proceeds going to charity!
