The annual dinner of Selangor Turf Club is always a grand event and why not as it is one of the richest, best managed and successful horse racing club.


Held at Times Square hotel grand ballroom and attended by around a 1,000 guests, it was an annual gathering much anticipated and is certainly the most important social gala in Malaysia as its grand lucky draw included a car! Something no hoity-toity wanna-be soirees can match! 

Amee Philips who owns Amee Philips Fine Jewellery hosted the jewellery show and kindly invited me and VIP customer Princess Dr Becky Leogardo to join her table.

On hand to welcome us and presumably other guests was Tan Sri Richard Cham Hak Lim the all-powerful and rich Chairman of Selangor Turf Club who is also renowned as a philanthropist.

The guest of honour were Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed our former Prime Minister and wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Muhammad Ali which showed just how grand and influential Selangor Turf Club is as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohd is a busy man and attends only select functions as everyone wants him and justly so for this great man is one of a kind, like Kee Hua Chee who was handmade by Buddha with input from Jesus Christ who then destroyed the mould as there can only be ONE Kee Hua Chee during each kalpa. Even Kee Hua Chee admits he has never met anyone like him. Omitofu and hallelujah.
