Extraordinary Collection of Patek Philippe Timepieces Offered in Antiquorum’s June Auction
Antiquorum Auctioneers, the world’s premier auctioneers
of modern and vintage timepieces, is looking forward to its June 28th
(Saturday) auction of “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” at
the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong. The sale will offer an impressive
collection of 532 fine and rare timepieces. Previews will be held in New
York and Hong Kong.
Among the highlights is a collection of rare Patek
Philippe timepieces including a Ref. 5029 minute-repeating wristwatch in
platinum; a Ref 3979 enamel dial minute-repeating wristwatch in platinum; and a
Ref. 2438-1 18K yellow gold wristwatch with perpetual calendar. Also offered
are a number of unique and rare exceptional timepieces, which include the
highly collectible Harry Winston Opus 7 in white gold and a Girard Perregaux
Ref. 99720 Vintage 1945 Jackpot Tourbillon in 18K pink gold.
The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5029 minute repeater automatic in
platinum, made in a limited edition of 10 pieces in 1997 to
commemorate the inauguration of the new Patek Philippe factory in Geneva. This
is a very fine and extremely rare, minute-repeating, self-winding, platinum
chronometer wristwatch with a platinum Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by
the Extract from the Archives and commemorative medal.

collector is the Patek Philippe Ref. 2438-1 18K yellow gold wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases, insignia on the
dial and an
18K yellow gold Tiffany & Co tile bracelet. Made in 1955 and sold in 1963.
Accompanied by the Extract from the Archive. Extremely fine, extremely rare and
elegant, this particular example unseen to the market is the first example ever
to feature an insignia at twelve o’clock. The unusual insignia at twelve
o’clock is of unknown origin, the consignor claims that the watch was gifted to
a prominent person that was part of the royal dynasty in the former Kingdom of
Mysore before joining India in 1950, although this information cannot be
verified.

Made in 2008, the very fine, rare and important wristwatch features a perpetual
calendar, moon phases, leap year, 24 hour indication and a platinum Patek
Philippe deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original fitted wooden box,
Certificate of Origin, instructions, additional solid platinum case back,
setting pin and hang tag.

Collectors will be vying for the Girard Perregaux Ref. 99720 Vintage
1945 Jackpot Tourbillon in 18K pink gold with
slot machine. Made circa 2007, the very fine and unique wristwatch features a
striking mechanism and 18K pink gold Girard-Perregaux deployant clasp. The
prestigious watchmaker adopted a revolutionary approach to timekeeping,
blending elegance of sophisticated horological complications with the sheer
pleasure of gambling to create the first timepiece that combines the tourbillon
complication with a slot machine and an automatic alarm – a truly
exceptional work of art!

present the Harry Winston Opus 7, No.
10/50, 18K white gold wristwatch. The Opus 7,
jointly created by Harry Winston and the talented watchmaker Andreas Strehler,
features a skillfully designed movement with ingenious and playful alternative
display. Very fine and very rare, the wristwatch was made in a limited edition
of 100 examples in 2007 with 60-hour power reserve and an 18K white gold Harry
Winston buckle. Sold on September 22nd, 2008. Accompanied by the
original fitted box, instruction manual and warranty.

want to bid on the Patek Philippe Ref. 5961P chronograph platinum wristwatch
with sapphire-set bezel. This is a very
fine and rare. Platinum and 36 baguette sapphire wristwatch with round
button flyback chronograph, combined 30/60-minute and 12-hour totalizer, annual
calendar, power reserve, day/night indications and a platinum Patek Philippe deployant
clasp with 22 baguette sapphires .

for the Rolex Ref. 6200, Explorer dial. Made in 1954. This
is a fine and very rare stainless steel diver's wristwatch with
bidirectional revolving black bezel , large 8 mm. winding crown and a stainless
steel Rolex Oyster riveted bracelet. Accompanied by an extra link (1).

water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph,

The June auction will also offer a Chinese
musical clock made in the early 19th century, Jiaqing period (1796-1820), probably by the Guangzhou
workshop. This is very fine and extremely rare, musical and automaton ,
quarter-striking, inlaid wood and gilt-brass, center-seconds table clock with
double wheel duplex escapement, the music with twelve hammers on bells, the
automatons with five actions including acrobat, playing on the hour or at will.
