DUE TO BUDDHA'S BLESSINGS, IT DID NOT RAIN DURING HATYAI'S ATTEMPT AT PRODUCING THE WORLD'S BIGGEST FASHION SHOW WITH THE MOST NUMBER OF MODELS ON A CATWALK.
If it had rained, the project would literally have been a washout! But everything went smoothly and the attempt was successful as witnessed by hundreds of guests and spectators.
Richard Stenning, the sales and distribution executive of Guinness World Records was on hand to observe, record and verify the 336 models who made history by being part of the fashion show with the most models.
The fashion extravaganza was held in the heart of Hatyai on the road sandwiched between the two best hotels Lee Garden Plaza and Centara which is attached to Central Department Store, Thailand's biggest and most prestigious chain of department stores like Malaysia's Parkson.
The open air show was vulnerable to the elements but not a single drop fell and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. However it must be said the clothes were certainly far from couture and did not seem 'designer' as they were most simple, casual clothes which could have come from any department store. Most garments could be seen on the bodies of spectators though some were quite nice. But this was more an attempt at hosting the most models in one nonstop show rather than showing sartorial creativity.

This shirt was my favourite
The wings at the back would make me look like an angel
The reigning Miss Thailand 2012 but her dress is unsuitable and unregal and quiet bizarre come to think of it. She should have worn a glamorous, shiny and extravagant gown and not this hybrid outfit that is neither here or there. And what's with the bib?
