THE WORLD'S CAPITAL OF FASHION WAS CONQUERED BY THE INNOVATIVE FASHIONS FROM LIMKOKWING UNIVERSITY'S SCHOOL OF FASHION AND RETAIL DESIGN.
Limkokwing Showcased its Fashion Debut in
World’s Fashion Capital
From classroom to showroom, Limkokwing University
of Creative Technology’s School of Fashion and Retail Design has once again
proved its strength by accepting an invitation to showcase in the fashion capital
of Paris on July 30th.
Onboard the Le Jean Bruel boat on the gorgeous
River Seine, Limkokwing became the first Malaysian University to present a show of such prestige. It is also creating a habit of statement-making
moves.
This will be second time the University has
collaborated with London-based organiser J Model Management, the first at
the Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge, attended by guests and international media
from over 30 countries.
“There’s a huge sense of pride for our students
on campus, as well as a huge sense of pride as a Malaysian brand, for being
chosen to represent our country and who we are, especially somewhere like
Paris,” Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, Associate Vice President says. “To be
respected by the creative industries both in and out of Malaysia is most
important to us.”
Known as Malaysia’s leading university for
creativity and innovation, the University has supported success for it’s
students even in international competitions, most recently when diploma student
Wilson Lim came second runner up in the Asian Footwear Design Competition in
Guang Zhou, China last month, competing with representatives from powerhouses
India, Korea, Japan, China and Vietnam. FriscaDewiMulia also took home First
Place at a Nationwide Samsung Galaxy SII Competition.
After
putting great shows in across 3 continents, Asia, Africa and Europe, Limkokwing University
has proudly added one of the most glamorous countries to its list, Paris , France .
Nothing could have been more exciting and overwhelming than showcasing the
talents of 7 selected student designers from Limkokwing University of Creative
Technology in the city of love, Fashion capital, Paris , France
on the 30th July 2012.

Model Management together with Limkokwing
University made headlines all over in Malaysia , France ,
Poland , New Zealand , Vietnam ,
China and many other
countries for this out- standing show by the river Seine .
Not too long ago, J Model Management and Limkokwing University, again in
collaboration showcased in one of the world’s tallest buildings, Petronas Twin
Towers Skybridge. Surprisingly not, this time J Model management chose Paris to be its next
fashion show venue. The show took place in the ‘Le Jean Bruel Boat’. Also known
as the ‘Bateaux Mouche’, it is one of the oldest boat touring across the river
Seine, covering exquisite and iconic sites like Eiffel Tower, Notre- Dame
Cathedral, the Alexander III Bridge, the Pont Neuf, the Orsay Museum and the
one and only Louvre Museum.
After
the show, speaking to the 7 selected students whose designs got selected for
the J Summer Paris Fashion Show, we could only hear warm and great pride in the
voices of the each and every student.

Anh has held the J Summer Fashion Show on the river bank of Seine in Paris , France ,
to widespread critical acclaim. Sharing a fond relationship after Petronas Twin
Towers Skybridge Fashion Show with Limkokwing University, did not hesitate at
all to invite Limkokwing University students to showcase their talents in
Paris.The show was attended by
many Industry people, ambassadors from more than 10 different countries and new
fashion talents from France, USA, Austria, Spain, Poland, the
Philippines, Vietnam and everyone was spellbound by the
creativity that runs in these students.
