Château Saint-Martin & Spa Celebrates
Golden Week with its Exclusive ‘Semaine d’Or’ Program

Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa launches ‘Semaine d’Or’ and invites Chinese guests on a cultural, shopping and gastronomic journey

Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa is proud to announce the launch of its‘Semaine d’Or’ program, an exclusive offer for Chinese-speaking travelers.

Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa’s new ‘Semaine d’Or’ program has been designed to showcase the best of Provence, including its many cultural, shopping and gastronomic delights, to discerning Chinese-speaking travelers who want to be fully supported by a Chinese interpreter and guide if required.

The ‘Semaine d’Or’program, which means ‘Golden Week’ in French, includes a three-night/four-day stay for two people in one of Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa’s 39 junior suites, decorated with period furniture in Louis XV and Louis XVI style. Guests can unwind on their private balconies overlooking the Cote d’Azur and take in the sweeping views to the Mediterranean and the Baie des Anges or look up towards the rugged hills of Provence.

The four-day‘Semaine d’Or’ program includes a half-day visit to the picturesque mediaeval village of Saint Paul de Vence, located only 20 minutes away from the hotel and perched on a precarious cliff-top. Guests will be guided through the village’s history and art by a Chinese-speaking interpreter.

Highlights of the individualized tour for two includes the celebrated village ramparts dated from the 16th Century, as well as the 14th Century Collegiate Church and the market square known as ‘La Place de La Grande Fontaine,’ meaning ‘the place with the large fountain,’ where villagers would come to wash their clothes and gather under the welcome shade of the horse chestnut trees. Art lovers can then visit Saint Paul de Vence’s famed modern art museum, the Maeght Foundation, which features works by Calder, Chagall, Braque, Giacometti and Miró amongst others.

The next day, guests can enjoy a half-day shopping excursion to Cannes accompanied by a Chinese-speaking interpreter who will guide them through the town’s famed La Croisette and Rue d’Antibes shopping areas. Here, guests can pop into the shops of world-famous French brands such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton or can be introduced to artisanal crafts such as leather-working, soap-making and perfumeries.

A visit to the South of France is not complete without experiencing the full breadth of its gastronomic delights. As such, the ‘Semaine d’Or’ program invites Chinese-speaking guests on a full day’s visit to local vineyards specializing in rose and white wines. The accompanying Chinese-speaking interpreter will introduce them to the Chateaux’ owners and guide them through the wine-making process, followed by a tasting in the vineyard’s cellars or out amongst the grapevines under the blue Provençale sky.

In addition, Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa boasts one of the largest wine cellars in the area, with over 15,000 bottles of some of the world’s most exclusive vintages available to oenophiles and guests alike. Here, Head Sommelier Geraud Tournier will host a private tasting accompanied by a Chinese interpreter and walk guests through a personalized selection of wines and vintages of their choice.

Finally, the ‘Semaine d’Or’ offers guests a dinner for two people at the hotel’s one-Michelin starred Le Saint-Martin restaurant, run by famed French chef Franck Ferigutti, who brings 30 years of culinary experience to the table. Chef Ferigutti draws inspiration from seasonal produce and local harvests, giving each dish a distinctive seasonal flavor.  Here, guests will be able to experience the best dishes of the South of France.
